I leveled all 3 healers to 70, I think it's safe to say I against you. When you point a finger at someone there are 3 pointed back at you, just saying.

Going to point out that we do call out people who post in here and are in the wrong. There was a multi-page epic rant of a postset recently, in fact.

This thread is all about telling something you thought was wrong or funny then people too give their viewpoints on it acting all high and mighty like would never do that this basically a thread to gossip behind player's back. poking fun at either bad or really bad players to make them feel better about their self when there something slams it down how dare you not have my way of thinking.

First off, this is a vent thread. Yes, some people have acted high and mighty in the past, and sometimes, that is justified. But the purpose of the thread is to vent/praise some of the things that occur in the duty finder. When somebody who posts here is wrong, it gets pointed out. When someone comes in here and shows their ass, that gets pointed out. Secondly, at least have the common courtesy of some good punctuation. Magenta font or not, it does get hard to understand what you're saying when the words you type are nonsensical until its read a few times. Not asking for a high-school level of writing, but something that doesn't come off as a rant with no breath pauses would help people understand and respond on the things you are talking about.

I've been called out in the past in this thread when I've been the arse. Which, because I was an arse in a multiplayer game, I was very much right to be called out. This is the first time in this thread that I can remember where I've actually called someone out myself. So well done, you've popped my cherry in that regard. Your post is very difficult to read and induced a headache in trying to understand some of what you're trying to say (in other threads). Plus, you should stop using the magenta (aka NOT PINK) colour. It makes it easier to read what you're saying (thus also inducing less headaches). Unless your aim is to cause people physical pain trying to read what you're saying?

So here's a fun horror story from a Lv50/60 roulette dungeon I got the other day. I ended up getting Great Gubal Library, went in as Red Mage. My fellow dungeoneers—a WHM, a PLD, and a DRG—were all sprouts. I put a smile on my face, greeting everyone and started to explain the mechanics of the various upcoming boss fights.

The tank and the healer were friendly back and quite receptive. The tank was totally new to the dungeon and the healer had run it once before, though he had forgotten the mechanics. These two were fine; they made forgivable mistakes as can be expected from rookies, but it was nothing compared to the DRG... let's call him Joe.

Joe here was basically the opposite of his sprout colleagues. He was about as talkative as a piece of moldy cabbage and had about the same survivability of one, too. Joe fit the stereotypical 'loldragoon' trope to a tee. As someone who used to main Dragoon, it broke my heart. He never used any of his jump-based skills or Battle Litany, he never attempted to dodge AOE, he ignored every mechanic even as I explained them, and he died... maybe ten times? Eventually I lost count. And as stated, through it all, he never said a single word.

I knew we were gonna have a bad time when he hit the first boss. Joe died three times consecutively to the boss' Disclosure attack, standing his ground as the boss was charging his instakill even as the three of us ran behind it and frantically beckoned to him. Despite it, no wipe. At least it was a DPS with the playing skills of a potato, and not the healer or tank. That would have been much worse.

The second boss was slightly better. Joe only died twice there, but it was—again—because he ignored the mechanics I had explained not two minutes ago. He continued attacking the boss when it passed into its invulnerability phase, ignoring the adds that were sustaining its shield. Eventually up came the part where you got tethered to orbs that you would have to kite into the boss to knock him out of his book, but Joe simply ran around in circles like a headless chicken right up until the orb caught up and killed him (twice). Keep in mind, I was frantically trying to explain what to do in chat between casting Vercures on his dumb butt, but he was completely ignoring them. Perhaps my "Never let a sprout die" motto is too rigid.

The final boss... was a nightmare, to say the least. Joe directly made us wipe twice. The mechanics for this guy are quite simple; if you get marked with an exploding orb, drop if off at the edge of the arena so it doesn't go boom and kill people to death. Group up and press button clusters when they appear. Joe did neither.

The first wipe occurred because between bouts of floor-tanking, Joe picked up an exploding orb. However, instead of running away from the center of the arena, he stood his ground, chipping away at the boss with his uncombo'ed skills. When the orb exploded, it wiped out both him and the tank. The boss killed the healer and I before we could pick them back up (the healer was running low on MP from—surprise, surprise—saving our friendly neighborhood floor-tank).

Joe died a further three times in this exact same fashion during Attempt No. 2, though this time our tank was avoiding him like the plague so ultimately Joe ended up killing only himself. However, when the button phase came up, both Joe and the tank stood their ground. If you remember this fight, you need at least three party members pressing these buttons. So imagine our dismay when we were unable to press any and got swarmed by the resulting powerful adds, ending in the second wipe.

The third and final attempt was a nasty slog, since Joe was now doing all the DPS. I had taken over as the party's healer due to the WHM's lack of mana and inexperience (and I can't lie, I'm still a bit new to Red Mage myself). I truly believe that he was doing his best, and I can't fault him for it. He died several more times to the orbs; it was around this time that I stopped counting his deaths. It was stressing me out. When the button phase came up again, the tank came with us to press them. As expected, Joe stayed on top of the boss, and was naturally killed when he took its aggro since the tank was helping us do mechanics.

Boss finally dropped. The tank, the healer and I expressed our relief that the dungeon was finally over; Joe remained silent. The healer asked Joe if he was smoking weed. Joe left without a word. Happy fun times!

I apologize for this being a little lengthy, but it just... I can't understand how you could possibly play so badly. I'm inclined to side with the healer and believe that Joe was on something at the time.

I've forgotten nothing, I fully understand the purpose of this thread. I'm offering you help - I think you need to reevaluate how you're playing if you're consistantly seeing tanks just up and quit on you. The tank and healer of a dungeon need to work together. Absolutely nothing that you've said thus far makes me think you know anything about that.

The difference is that in the content for which I'm offering criticism I am actually a competent player where as everything about your stories suggests otherwise about you. Another way to look at it is "don't throw stones in glass houses," when only one of us is indeed living in a glass house.

I hope you take a step back and realize that being so antagonistic to the forums (a place which could certainly help you improve if you cared to stop being so bothersome) isn't a wise decision. With behavior like yours you're going to wind up on a bunch of ignore lists and eventually you won't even be recieving contradictory replies like this one because no one is going to pay you any mind.

Reign it in. You're behaving like a child for no reason. Take the constructive criticism about your play and your behavior that has been offered and grow from it.

Or fade into obscurity like every other silly troll account I guess, not the smartest option but I guess it's on the table.

Well after reading all 1527 pages in the thread I'd almost feel like I'd be prepared for the worst of duty finder but honestly, nothing really does.
Did post one a while ago whilst baby tanking my paladin through brayflox, and today is another tank related story, only short though.
Doing leveling roulette on dragoon today, got Qarn normal with a new player bonus which I assumed was the tank. I completely forgot that Qarn is indeed a story dungeon and not a side quest one - I mixed it up with Cutter's cry -.-
Anyway, the tank had bailed after the first pull. Me, the SCH and NIN went and did the first group underground whilst we thought about what to do - I said I would requeue on my main Tank job WAR. Requeue'd and saw the SCH saying I should be back then only to find as I'd joined, the NIN had bailed as well.

More fool them though! Our 2 free DPS spots filled up quickly and we promptly powered through the rest of the dungeon in no time at all.

On the other hand I sadly had an Alliance roulette with DRG again that ended up in LotA, with the A/B tanks fighting for aggro... or rather, B's tank was a Provoke Hero. It was fine until the last boss where he constantly pulled Phleggy right to the edge of the arena, as far away from the pads as possible. And then when pointed out he should at least keep him centre, he rebutted saying boss runs back to centre for Ancient Flare... Sure he does, but it means all the melee are running like headless chickens trying to get back to the pads in time, including Mr Provoke Hero. Lots of deaths there.

I leveled all 3 healers to 70, I think it's safe to say I have healed a fair bit more dungeons than you, and yet I've never encountered these awful tanks that sit down and wait to be kicked

I've encountered one such tank. It was Stone Vigil HM with 2 other FC members. Tank sat down at the campfire and refused to move(until we were at the third pack, then they just stayed close enough to be on mini-map but refused to do anything). The only time they actually "did" something was at the first boss. Would grab it with Shield Lob, then run away as far as possible. And that was only after we had asked them to actually contribute(and that we weren't going to kick them).
