I had difficulties playing the mini-game. I wanted to use the keyboard keys (A,D and <SPACE>), but at some point in the game the A and D keys stop working, and I could only jump. That didn't go well.

Am I the only one who had this problem?

I then tried using the mouse but that felt clunky. That ruined it for me. I'll just watch the cute cutscenes on youtube.

Did you move the cursor back into the minigame-window? As soon as you do that, the game will switch to mouse-controll, so the keyboard wont work anymore.

It could be as you said. I tried with an alt, paid close attention to the mouse cursor, and did not lose 'keyboard control'.
The A and D key kept working, and I got through. Even if I didn't do very well.

Yup, it's the cursor. I had the same issue and noticed it was cause of the cursor. I made sure to keep it out of the window and the game was great. It was so old school and cute. I'm almost hoping they come up with another new mini game for halloween. Much as the haunted mansion is fun, would be nice to have a change of venue for one year.

I really liked this event too. Not only the mini game but also the cutscenes afterwards. (But I was also happy that these cutscenes did not need the mini game because I am just bad at it. x)'')

I normally skip the Easter events, but when I heard there was a mini game I decided to do it this year.

Wasn't disappointed. The quest was short and sweet, and the mini game was fun. The minion is nice too.
