    1. Please reduce the amount of cleaving monsters having them absolutely everywhere encourages other players to kite them to low leveled players when they're bored. I know that's against the rules but it is so common right now please gives the GMs a break.
    2. Add non-combat objectives and goals to the instance. Please, this would make it so much more interesting if there was sightseeing, gathering, treasure hunts, or other little side deals that weren't purely focused on killing stuff that would encourage players to enjoy this beautiful map.

The prevalent strategy of just making a train endlessly killing the mobs that spawn the NMs is kind of an awful EXP black hole, as it's usually the high level players who spend all day in Eureka who get the tags, and thus no one gets the exp for 100s of kills.

But the proverbial straw that broke my back was that a 7-level difference in party member levels nullifies all exp gain. What the hell. I just want to party up with my FC friends, who happen to have more time to devote than me. Why should I get punished for their powerleveling? Why is there no omnipresent level sync? I mean, this would be easily fixed by just letting high level players sync down to the lowest level party member's level.

After forming my own low level grind/FATE party the other night, my only complaint is the lack of a level sync option. The massive penalty to XP for being partied with a higher level player or attacking a monster much lower level than you means that lower level players will increasingly be left behind.

The alternative is to be forced to attempt join the high level FATE train and run past mobs that can one shot them with a glance. Getting an actual party invite to the train when you are below level 6 seems to be hit or miss, and attempting to join high level FATEs without a party usually means you get nothing contribution wise.

I am L-20 now but I did all my lower leveling with mostly players a lot higher than I and the xp for the fate boss plus the amount of bosses you could do with the train was so huge, it didn't matter. If they force high to low level to synch, this will make the higher levels not invite the lower so perhaps make it an "option" at group formation. Also, there is safety in numbers with the higher players aggroing a lot of the big pooled groups of mobs along the way. Rezzers were mostly super about getting you up if you died as long as you stay with YOUR group. The only difficulty I encountered was after people turned 17 and got mounts it was hard to keep up with them. If you don't enjoy that style, make your own OR ride that NM train for huge Boss xp, the choice is yours.

I'm a fellow Lv.20 and while riding the train is by far the most effective means, doing so from levels 1 to 5 don't yield that much reward compared to chaining mobs, they should go to low level NM's sure but chaining would be better.

All in all the guy was just saying he wants to play with his friends and that lower levels get left behind which is already coming to be a reality, people selectively vet the people they're recruiting so that they're high levels.

All in all I DID say they could make it an option to party synch... Chaining mobs is rough with 4-5 groups out there tagging and killing before you can get a shot in. Personally, I liked the way I leveled but it's not to everyone's taste. I don't know if they can ever make us all happy right? Now since my Bard and job Smn are done/geared, I am running with high levels in the train helping rez the lower dead and occasionally pop over when Paz is going to spawn.

So, I had my first ride on the NM train last night. I tried parties, but people only want to fight things 2 maybe three levels higher than them, and the XP was crappy. So I soloed, and I was getting decent XP doing chains of 30.

Then it happened. The fate train went past me and spawned the sea bishop. So I jump in that fight and I get 3K in XP. I'm like WTF, for that little bit of work. So I hop on the train and do three more fates, where I get 6K, 6K, and 7K, so I rode for the rest of the time left. Afterwards, I'm sitting there thinking what have I been missing grinding just to get to level six when I can go from level 6-7 in a fraction of the time.

I was barely damaging these NMs, and died quickly to AOEs. There was actually a point I felt bad because I couldn't really contribute, and people in my party had to continually raise me. But there's absolutely no incentive for anyone to do anything other than run around with the people doing this.

You didn't actually address much of what he was talking about either, his issue is that low level players are getting left behind due to; A) Not being invited by high level ones which I've seen firsthand countless times and have even had to do for spawning Pazuzu and the sort, and B) The high level mobs that one shot lowbies who aren't good at stealth yet and who quite frankly shouldn't be in the area in the first place. You responded to that with how you joined train parties and even if one shot someone would come along and raise you, then topped it off with a non-choice of "Join the train or find another way" of which, due to current mechanics, there is no other way to gain exp without expending a ton more effort and time without also risking missing NM's.

ALL IN ALL, rather than essentially telling him that you made it to Lv.20 in the train no problemo and he can/should too, maybe just support his idea of a party sync option and understand the difficulties he and all other lowbies are having. After making a party with 5 lowbies last night myself and taking them around to (and spawning quite easily at Lv.20) Sabo, Lord, Teles, and Emperor, I can tell you that they were pretty grateful and that not many people stop to help them out. But that's just my own first hand experience and anecdotal evidence only goes so far I suppose.

Yuppers, that's pretty much the case at the moment. Don't feel bad that you couldn't contribute though, half the people there don't contribute in any way at all to spawn the NM's. They're called afkers and basically leech off of others, sitting to the side while people kill dozens of mobs just to spawn the NM. But the current system and the entity known as the train promotes that kind of behaviour, I can't fault them for taking advantage of it, I can only slap them on the wrist and say, "No, bad, help kill things damnit".

All in all Ayirez, perhaps don't worry so much about his post and my choices which were presented with a synch option, but rather worry about your own and what makes you happy. I am sure if he has a comment he is quite capable of stating it.
