Samurai: Mendacity vs Anemos Weapon

So, mendacity being 360 obviously has extra weapon damage and extra strength over Anemos, but also has crit, our least desirable stat (unless doing a crit specific build). Anemos has no crit, max DH and 5 slot to increase Det and SkS to desired threshold.

Thoughts on which is better?

Mendacity by miles. The only relevant substats for SAM is enough SkS to perform your rotation comfortably, be it on higher or lower end.

Ok. Thanks. I know most of the BiS load outs I've seen stack DH, so I wasn't sure if it was because the stat was really strong for us or because its just better than the alternatives. Think I'm going to try for 1551 SkS.

The difference should be farily small for most jobs. When comparing weapon against weapon the Tome will always win. But if you can spend tomes in other things and upgrade to Anemos weapon AND you wouldn't be able to upgrade to a 370 weapon anyways... Then the anemos would be a good pick for you. This is more a thing for people that doesn't raid at all and went for the hassle of Eureka.

Yeah,I definitely plan on raiding and upgrading, so Mendacity for me.

Still, the Eureka gear is great for my alts.

As a side note, if this is anything like previous expansions, it'll be a good idea to leisurely get the anemos gear and hold on to it. It will be the strongest gear at the end of the expansion and last you roughly 2/3 of the way to the new level cap in the next
