i'm not sure if you have gone back to the nodes near treespeak and crimsonbark. from what i understand, a recent patch added a lot more high lv (70+) mobs along the paths to the aethrytes.

Yep.. i had Tons of Level70+ Bombs at "Scorpions Keep" and even more Level65+ Mobs around "The Lance", which was pretty annoying since you had to pull them trough the Tunnel without Dying.. i got unlucky a couple Times and right at the End of the Tunnel i ran into a Raptor. Its not really easy for some Nodes.. but yeah.. you can actually solo it and a good amount of Def-Traits/Spells/Abilities + Quickstride etc, with a lot of patience. I have to say it was really fun to get them.

I tried to get to Mor Dhona via Camp Crimson Bark last night. Saw a bunch of level 90-99 Goblins and gave them a wide berth, just in case. Everything was fine and dandy until I came across a cluster of level 70+ Raptors loitering in front of my only path forward. I thought, I've got Stoneskin II up and my loyal chocobo, Vicious, is fast as a whip, I'll just rush through them in a blink and by the time they give chase, I'll be long gone.

3000 points of damage later, I realize the dirt has a funny taste to it and there's no place like home.

Have you touched all of the aetheryte nodes? That'll give you something to do. I recommend taking a group of about 20 to 30 people, you'll need the raises. lol

20 to 30 is a bit much but you need at least 4 or 5. I'm working on Black Shroud soon, hopefully I'll have all those done soon.

At this point, we basically know next to nothing about what types of achievements to expect. I believe the most information that we have received about achievements was this:

A: The crown is an achievement reward that will be in 1.20. The achievement system is coming in 1.20, and certain feats will earn you various rewards. Let me say, though, that it won't be that easy to get the cooler achievements.


A: First, you'll be able to enjoy and participate in the Seventh Umbral Era event. There'll be achievements related to that which won't be available later. There'll be achievement rewards, battles with the Garlean Empire, and other items that will be exclusive to that period.

We had talked about this a little bit in another thread. And I think it all boils down to what type of achievements they are going to ask us to do. "Reach level 50 on Pugilist", "Discover all 24 camps", "Complete 100 local leves", "Defeat an NM naked"?

I wouldn't mind a little dev feedback on this (hint, hint), will the 300+ achievements all be new and unique or could there be some overlap with things we've already done and get them awarded to us retroactively.

Just curious, are these achievements tied to those titles we saw in the 2.0 screenshot? They might be silly to some, but I've always liked titles in games (especially the funnier ones).

Not silly at all. I <3 titles.

You actually can Solo all of them. Some nodes like Scorpions Keep or The Lance took a while, but its doable.

umbral and south bloodshore arent possible to solo anymore with all the new mobs on those oh so narrow paths either

What kind of new Mobs are there? Those 2 Camps always had High Ranked aggro Mobs on the Narrow Path's.

crabs, amebas, and tons of them packed together, all around rank 79 or so

south bloodshore is especialy bad, i think you gotta pass up something like 50 of these mobs to reach it now
