I was just going to buy some dinky plot for like 1.7 mil gil but that waterfall.....lol. So Is spent around 3.6 mil. I figure if I'm gonna spend the gil I might as well be somewhere that I like and that plot just stuck out to me. I looked at all the places real carefully before deciding on that one.

Of course now I can't afford the workshop or personal rooms yet. If I did I'd be flat broke so I'll just save up. Ty all again for answering my questions and for all the help. I'm really glad we got a small one. I think a medium would be way too much for us right now. I guess I'll have to buy a stable at some point so everyone can train their chocobo's? Lots to do.

Be sure to buy the Choco stables from the housing npc, and NOT the market board. It's 125k, and there are two housing NPCs that sell it and other basic stuff. One is INSIDE the lobby of the apartment building. Other should be at the opposite entrance to goblet.
Congratulations on the house! I love plot 20 in the Goblet! Everything Kitty said, plus things like don't buy your aetheryte shard off the MB, it's like 14k GC seals from which ever Grand Company you are personally aligned. Also, I'd recommend getting a steward/ Hokonin. They sell quite a few pieces of furniture as well as some semi-decent interiors. Though sometimes people are silly and sell the items for less than vendor price on the MB. I often find myself running between NPCs and the MB when starting to decorate a new house.

Also, a lot of the really fun pieces to decorate with (wall planters, riviera shelves, etc.) are pretty low level for crafters, and of course you'll get xp for crafting them, so it's really also worth slowly levelling your crafters to decorate your house (provided you or someone in the FC is interested in it).

Definitely suggest a chocobo stable. They're not too expensive, but again, make sure you're checking the price on the MB vs the price at the housing merchant bc there's no reason to pay extra.

Unless they're cheap, because if you're doing airships/submarines you are going to want those seals!

And back to those airships/submarines, you're going to want to max out those crafts so you can turn in the parts since it requires the person turning parts in to be both in the fc and of the appropriate craft level.

Honestly I prefer smalls, the drop off in furnishing limit feels quite steep as you upgrade. I have no idea what I'd even do with a large.

We moved to a medium, but our small before was fine IMHO. Cozy even.

There are no massive benefits to bigger houses that you'll miss out on apart from a bit more gardening space.

Small is great. My FC got Plot 29 in Lavender Beds in one of the new wards. LOVE IT!

    Congrats on your house!

You CAN get your level 1 alt her/his own small to own and decorate
Then you bypass having to level up/rank up. That's what I did.
