What's your first impression of Eureka?

They want everyone to be on the hate train, and anyone who isn't is somehow contradicting themselves. They can't understand that just because they don't find something fun it doesn't mean everyone else will feel the same.

Or they're trolling. Can't decide.

Confrontation and peer validation is what they seek. Your beliefs and opinions are of no importance to them. They will not recognize that you may like of believe in something they don't.

I've been greeted with disrespect for my views as soon as I posted a lenghty analysis on the current experience I had in Eureka, and answered popular assumptions of that time such as "leveling is slow" or "getting crystals is slow", while also comparing that relic step with previous ones. They felt the need of starting a confrontation to prove me that I was wrong for liking aspects of Eureka.
They will then throw ad hominem at you as well as saying that you are twisting their words and whatnot, even if they were the ones who started the argument without any kind of respect.
For example, Vstarstruck wanted to dismiss my views so much that s/he started saying that I was a "white knight" and a "blind fanboy". These are piss poor argument techniques that are also quite common when arguing with people such as conspirationists/flat earthers and the likes. And as soon as you start acting like they do, they play the victim and accuse you of using the same techniques they just used.
I unfortunatly got caught in that spiral and cost me time I'll not get back, while they got exactly what they wanted out of that confrontation.

The only way to win with these people is simply by not trying to argue with them. I learned it the hard way.

People who cannot agree to disagree shouldn't be given attention.
