It didn't sound like a response that was "reviewing all of the feedback from players worldwide". people were giving a lot more feedback than just lockboxes. In addition, where does it say they are continuing to look into it? why is it on the customer to assume the best from the company?

There is no perfect wording for people who are in backlash mode right now. There is no need to pick apart something when we know what is going on. They are taking in feedback, making minor adjustments where they can, and they will likely down the line talk about the situation with it similar to Diadem.
