    i'm not doing anything different, but i guess bc i can actually see my end in sight, it's something to work towards. i am not one of those people that participates in nm trains; i find it incredibly boring and pointless to get 1xp per kill while trying to spawn an nm. instead, throw up a pf, get people that want to chain kill and we do that until an nm spawns. also the people i've partied with, some reoccurring completely on accident, have been fun to play with! it makes the grind fun bc you get to chat, run around raising dead pt members, finding better things to kill, etc.

    as of rn, i'm sitting on about 750+ anemos crystals and 250+ protean :') can't wait for mounts!

    Anything about the massive disparity in EXP earned from kills? I can be in a party of 3, and get 47-65 EXP per kill, and yes, that is killing the exact same mob over and over that it varies that much. Same thing, but with greater variance in a party of 8.

    Im really excited to see how the relic armor will evolve, we will basically get a new AF (unless SE decide to be lazy asses and keep the old models and only rise the ilvl)

    You get bonus experience each 10th chain, as well as losing experience if someone outside the party hits it. It has been pretty consistent in my experience (lol)

    Unfortunately, when in the party of three there was just us three on the peninsula where the leeches(level 5) monsters were. Nobody even came close to us(the leeches were on the tip of the peninsula, while we were inland of them facing out to the sea, keeping that spawn point to ourselves). We also didn't have trouble reaching the 30 chain doing this.

    Hey Fazraye (and others?) - Can you guys put elemental shards/crystals/clusters as rewards? I mean, it would fit in with the lore and be super helpful to crafters.

    Difference is the reward for relic/mythic weapons in FFXI were very worth the time and effort put into them. No other weapons outclassed them and they stuck around for years and years in being relevant. Right now at ilvl255, this gear is not worth it beyond the glamour. It might be in the future, but not right now. The conceptual idea of this content is fine, how it was executed is flawed severely. It is baffling how boring and bare bones it is.

    Dynamis was the most boring “weekly” content XI had to offer. Paths were completely lined out, nothing ever changed (kill this mob to trigger a NM, kill it to activate the boss, etc etc.) and if you were part of a Linkshell that was farming a particular relic, you had to run the same thing over and over. Sure, Dynamis Lord was pretty fun the first couple times... and then you stun locked him to death.

    I enjoy this Eureka. It’s not perfect, but I like the concept; and it’s leagues better than Diadem.

    You clearly never played XI then. Relic and mythic weapons were worthwhile gear for years not weeks to 1-2 months. The current relic isn't even competitive with the tomestone gear of this patch, and probably won't see an ilvl increase until 4.3 at the earliest and possibly even 4.35 a mere month or 2 before the ilvl on gear jumps up again.

    The posts about it not being worth the time is in regard to what I just said, there are easier ways to obtain equivalent or better gear now. And posts about it being boring is in regard to it's nothing but a map with mob to mindlessly kill to pop NM's to zerg rush. It's essentially Diadem 1.0 except you can't camp in one spot for the RNG big mobs to kill you have to run around which doesn't ignore the core fact that its everything people said they didn't want.

    Are we even playing the same game? Eureka is literally Diadem 1.0 except with a pointless elemental and leveling system tacked on. Only instead of camping dinosaur island to spawn the bigger mobs you really want, you have to move around to grind mobs everywhere to spawn the mobs you really want. It is so similar it's insulting.
