Yeah i wouldn’t be afraid to try Sigmal Normal/Raba, outside of Savage and some Ex primals most of the content is heavily tuned towards casual players(myself included) that being said I don’t know why the old creation weapons aren’t outright buyable since it’s no longer as relevant as it used to be, at least for the propose of helping people catch up, but more than likely Eureka will fill that gap like palace of the dead did. I’m assuming their will be mutiple tiers to the new relic/eureka weapons and I’m guessing the lower ilvl(like maybe i330)steps won’t be as grindy as the steps to 360/370(again I’m guessing 370 will be max since Savage weapons are 375

As a casual non raider myself...it's really not that bad. Deltascape normal and Sigmascape are something you can queue for, go in and walk out with what you need. Delta 4.0 requires 4 clears now, but...you're sorta holding yourself back needlessly. Queue up, get loot. Done. Don't get loot? Queue again. They are not Savage, so there's seriously nothing stopping you from doing them. Armor tokens for Sigmascape are weekly drops, so...queue, do the thing, roll, and leave. Sometimes you have to come back and try again. Weapons are time gated for Sigmascape for the time being, but that's still one clear per week for minimal effort.

While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.

Is that not the same logic that people point to in single player RPGs where there's a great reward that you get only after you beat the only content that you'd ever need it for? I think at this point, the only thing you'd actually need the weapon for is Ultimate.

In fact, you don't even need it for ultimate, as it's ilv synched anyway. What I meant is that if one has no interest in raiding at all, then having the best gear shouldn't be a concern.

Sure, but with the short shelf life on content and gear with how quickly new patches invalidate the stuff, it seems like a (nihilistic) non-issue no matter which perspective I look at it from.

Your gear doesn't matter if you aren't raiding.

Perhaps not, but personally I just like to have the best gear I can. Heck, I don't even play with other people outside of the occasional Level 70 roulette but I still gear up to the max. Gives me something to actually work for.

The normal-tier fights are all not too bad, sure you might die or be tripped up by something new the first few times, but really, they're all easy to clear and most casual players at this point are able to one-shot those encounters.

Rabanastre is still a bit of a dice roll, but most groups I encounter might wipe 2 times on Hashmal, and then pull it together.

If you want the best in slot items, by and large, that will require raiding Savage as if those items did not exist in those raids you'd suddenly find it incredibly hard to motivate players to do those fights if no reward exists at all.

Best in slot, though, is really unneeded and unnecessary outside of those encounters.

Or, on the other hand, play a tank, like me, and get your BiS accessories with the small provision of: 5m gil (give or take) and your entire mortal soul.

As a final note, you can PuG the Savage encounters. O5S and O6S are both exceptionally easy fights. O5S has a bit more going on (Latency witch pays me a visit in there all the time), but overall it's really easy to get into the groove for.

People pugged up Kefka and God Kefka and cleared him, so it's absolutely doable.

There really needs to be another way to get a weapon that doesn't involve 8 man raids or being on a buyer's market server. This has been a consistent complaint of mine starting with 3.0, or at least until the belated PotD rectified the situation for Heavensward. Trying to keep up with other players as a healer or tank while your most important piece of equipment sharply lags behind is a dreadful uphill battle at best.
