If one wonders what the bard animations will look and sound like. Look no further then the sylph. They have been using them since launch.

I wonder do you think that Arch and Bard will be separate playstyles? I can see Bard using Archer skills to do its DD and the bow only transforms as you do a song and then back again as you pew pew. I envision it as a long range DD that will actually provide group support.Gath never changes for a damn fool. Gath will let his fans become offended, but, Gath makes it up to his fans by being the awesome that Gath is.
Gath is one who's awesome has reeled in the attention of Gath's new fan, Meleena. Gath is pleased to have you as a part of his fan base.
OT: I think BRD will be very versatile, but if you prefer a straight DD role, then they could just as easily switch to ARC.
Gath's 1 gil is worth more than your 1 gil.
That's exactly how it will be. ARC will be more versatile towards dealing DMG and BRD moreso for buffs. There are class only abilities that ARC gets but BRD wont.I wonder do you think that Arch and Bard will be separate playstyles? EDIT: Well, not exactly, but pretty similar.

gath, i have a gift for you:
i call it, gath and the rest.
Rabidus Plague has a smile on his face while reading Gaths funny comments. That's hard to do while reading this forum, Rabidus welcomes the change, seems to Rabidus that Gath just being well...funny. People are always so uptight in game forums....Which is why Rabidus usually stays away.
Anyhow, I don't see why a lot of people don't understand Bard coming off archer, this type of Bard was pretty much how Bards were in other RPGs.
Also, I think with as much bitching done over the lag with the Ifrit fight, SE is going to have to move in another direction with boss fights, at least until the new engine is in place. I see the moogle fight ala Divine Might in XI.

I am hoping the fight turns out to be like DM. It may have not been mechanically inclined with all these micro managing type of of mechanics, but the sheer factor of how hard it was post 75 cap made it one to bash your head off the desk. That would be a welcoming fight.
The reason a lot of people don't see BRD coming off of ARC have no sense of old RPG style play like with AD&D. BRD in all actual play should be a melee fighter with songs that debuff opponents rather than buffing the party extensively. BRD has come a long ways with EQ and other titles that implemented a BRD class/job.
Gath now wants to dual-wield Barps.
