What's your first impression of Eureka?

The grouping system is horrible. Been trying to get into a group for an hour now and get crickets when I ask, not even enough of a response to form my own party. Don't really feel like scrolling through the list whispering random people and hoping someone wants to party up...

It's giving me flashbacks to when I spent hours trying to form groups back in the early days of WoW. Looks like I won't be going in without friends at all - doesn't seem to be much point.

My experience in Aether is that when someone says they're lfg they get invites immediately from groups looking to fill their slots. As a result it took several tries to fill mine lol

Also when I advertise my group has slots open for certain levels some shout (not always but sometimes at least) saying they want in and some send tells. The ones that shout oft times got snatched up by other groups lol

This new content is absolutely amazing! It's easier to access than Diadem and you don't even need full party if you wanna do stuff there - totally love that flexibility.
And rewards are super awesome too! It provides fun and easy way to get 335 weapons. And what's also cool - it's not overloaded with FATEs. So you can simply grind mobs for exp and crystals, and whenever FATE finally shows up - it's pure joy to rush there and claim those sweet rewards. It's all balanced really well.

My only issue with Eureka is that it suffers from same problem that happens with overcrowded fates and hunts--party members not loading in and being un-targetable, and god forbid it happens to be your tank that isn't loading in when you're healing. I had that exact issue when trying to do Eureka today.

It's just baffling to me that they designed Eureka in a manner that the server/client can't even handle when this has been a known issue since ARR first launched.

Funny that I've never had this issue on either PS3 or PS4.

I asked if any groups had room - variations of lfg and lf fate group - four times and got zero response (not spamming, mind you, those were ~5-20 minutes apart). No invites, no comments, no nothing.

I dunno, maybe I'll try again tomorrow. For now I'm just farming mobs one at a time alone. :P

I spent two hours farming - got 17 crystals, a headache, and flashbacks to why I don't play XI or Black Desert. First time I've played the game and actually had no fun at all.

I've encountered that issue across two different high-end PCs, and I know plenty of other people that have experienced it while playing on PC with mid to high specs. You can find threads about it with a google search.

Odd that you've never encountered this particular problem, as it was much more pronounced on PS3. However, you simply being oblivious, doesn't mean it isn't an issue.

It's awful. I actually laughed, as a little bit of me died inside, as I realized that I was just doing the crap South Park joked about years ago in that South Park episode. It's given me the chance to take a step back and decide I need to get away from this game for a while. After my current subscription runs out, I'm not resubbing until perhaps even 4.4. People upset have to just think about that too. If you're not having fun, then it's not worth it to keep up with it. There's no shame in dropping off.

Another thing that gets me is we now have more currencies or currency like items to take up bag space. I mean how many does a game need? You'd also think they could add these to the currency tab or key items but no that might take a bit of work.
