    Started killing some lvl 1 fish and a group just came in and destroyed everything around me leaving me standing there wondering wtf. Not fun. I'm unimpressed so far. We'll see how it goes when I go in with my FC group, hopefully it'll be more fun than solo (doubtful)

    I started playing about a year ago, so I've never done any Diadem stuff. My first impression of Eureka is not so great. I'm still optimistic that there's more to it or more that will be added to it, but disappointed with the initial experience.

    So far I've run around in a party spamming scatter and moulinet for 20 minutes and received 10 crystals. That's not a bad drop rate, but the problem is that the content is completely unengaging. When I heard of Eureka and that it "definitely most certainly won't be anything like Diadem, honest" I imagined some kind of wilderness full of mobs and tough bosses, caves to explore, items to find, underwater exploration, maybe some puzzles to solve, some daily quests - engaging, repeatable content that doesn't become obsolete and deserted after 90% give up on the grind and the remaining 10% grind out their reward and never come back.

    They've seemingly crafted a beautiful zone, filled it with re-named morbols and told us to kill six million of them to make our AF weapon sparkle. What's worse is that the devs know this kind of grind isn't appreciated, it isn't enjoyable, and somehow it was still delayed to 4.25. I haven't seen anything in Eureka that would justify that extra development time and resources.

    I'm really hoping it'll prove me wrong because I really want to enjoy it, but there's nothing engaging about killing an endless stream of mobs for an hour.

    Please SE, go back to the drawing board, fill Eureka with things to do and make it a place people want to explore. It's really disheartening to admit but I can't see myself doing much more in Eureka, and I had some pretty high hopes for it.

    It is, slightly. You'll run around after the tank until they pull enough, spam AOEs, rinse and repeat. It's the same concept but you get to mindlessly grind alongside friends instead of alone.

    I collected more of my thoughts and I just have to say... I'm more disappointed than I could have actually imagine and I was expecting... very little.

    All AF upgrades before now were relatively simple to get and this AF upgrade is locked behind three other upgrades and will likely take ten times longer to get. That winds up making it a pointless long term glamour grind with diminishing returns if anyone ever DARES tag yours or your parties mobs, which is just UTTERLY ridiculous. Even as someone who doesn't need the gear I'm disappointed in this garbage excuse of content and I didn't expect much, maybe just a fun zone to explore but even that is impossible with the elemental level junk.

    The zone is GORGEOUS I can see why they took so long because I can see this area alone taking ages to make, shame I can't even hop into gpose because I risk getting destroyed by the monsters; of which there are far, far too many. Oh and speaking of exploration, Yoshi P claimed that there'd be rewarding ways to do so... yet all I see is a zergfest, doing the same thing we've done since we started the game leveling but this time we're punished should someone feel they want to be a kind soul and help us fight a mob that we're struggling to kill solo or as a duo.

    They've failed. This is the third time. They never listen and its time we're given the ability beta test of all new content before they release it outright, because this is simply unacceptable and I hate to think that any bit of my sub money went into creating this poor excuse for content.

    Furthermore, I fail to understand why raiding can't interact with other gameplay elements, and vice versa, everything is compartmentalized and nothing is dynamic or meshes well content wise. Nothing encourages you to do something else and with the mindset that the time it takes to do ANYTHING worthy of your time and sub money requires the same investment as raiding is just stupid. It's a tired and failed model that they need to toss aside for good—raiding is raiding but not everything else shoudl require the same amount of time investment, this isn't a casual grind, the way this is setup will take until 4.4 for you to even see a tangible result for casual players who can only sit down for a couple hours nightly at most, and that's just wrong. I raid, I love it and most other content in the game... but I don't like this and I don't like that others are expected to put in the same effort to receive lesser upgrades than what I am getting by raiding.

    This content was supposed to be for those who didn't have the time to sit down and raid 3 to 4 hours nightly, but the time they expect you to to waste for this is above and beyond that of progression raiding. It's... just bad design.

    I didn't like Diadem and unless they fix this within the next few weeks; it wouldn't take much if they focused on it, I don't see anyone caring by the time we get the next PLL.
    It's stupid, and even saying all this... I'll still go in there with friends to try and get screenshots and MAYBE fight a few NMs; because what else will I do outside of raid? But I still don't like it at all.

    Unfortunately, they're probably just going to give us their whole "We're not accepting feedback at this time" excuse, and not do anything about it until 4.5 because that's how this cycle works.
    Heck I'd even welcome a sloppily thrown together claim system like XI that way we can at least progress solo; like they deceitfully claimed would be possible.

    Yoshi P was right though, it is significantly different than the diadem. They took out everything about the diadem that was worthwhile or interesting. No tangible rewards each time you go in, no exploration mission based gameplay, and nothing for gatherers to do.

    I raid and the relic has always been a side project I enjoy doing with friends....but no just no. I'll stick to my raid wep and not the mindless grind I nearly fell asleep doing. I gave it a fair shake lv4 and spent an entire timer in there, beyond boring is putting it lightly.

    honestly i'm confused in many aspect this is diadem 2.0... nothing more nothing less, the only difference is we don't farm alea but simply farm monster.
    it's slow, boring and not even a challenge, even at 2-3 player is doable, just need to avoid to pull stuff of 3 level sup.
    the most confusing is the reward behind this... and the way to get it.
    the relic weapon that we did wait since the 4.1 (more of 4 month later) is farm worst than the atma farming, not enough to have a super random way to get the item needed. you need an amount that make no sense! worst, for the armor you need to farm for each part more of 300 item for get a... 345... why make us need to farm tons of item for item that are not even at the same level than sigma normal or only a bit better than cosmo that was the previous tier?

    it make no damn sense to force us to farm soo many item for something that not even on par with the actual tier! the actual tier is 350 sigma normal/craft, 360 for the tomes and 370 for the hard raid. and here for get a piece of armor 350... it will recquire a number of hours of farming simply stupid. why ask us to gather the same item for upgrade 3 time the armor and weapon, before allows us to try to get the 350... it's simply insane... who is in right mind to farm soo many hours for get a gear 350 when it's fairly more simple to farm gil and get the craft gear or just do your sigma normal for get it without spend an amount of hours insane for it? or even wait a bit and get the tomes gears.

    one more time they have try to appeal to old player with mechanic that are outdated and not fun! we did asked for fun stuff... people have said: no diadem 2.0.... and what we did get it's diadem 2.0 with a story mode! it's like they simply don't want to listen to us and want us to spend countless hours in this sort of content. and at the same time, yoshida tell us we can stop to play ff14 for go play other stuff, but add content that ask for an amount of time spend in the game that is insane.

    for me Eureka is an insane mess that is confusing, because it's totally against everything we have asked to avoid to bring in the v2... eureka is a freaking monster party! the item needed need to be divided by 5... and the exp gain needed to be buffed... and the worst is behind we have a system of death penalty that gonna drive some people crazy... oh by the way, we already have mpk. a few guys was trailing monster on my party for make us leave our spot.

    i'm confused because i don't see what they try to accomplish with this... and worst, we did wait soo long for this? nostlagia is nice, but it's not what FF14 was needing, people complain about the fact that the get become more the same as time pass and we ask for new stuff to do and instead we get a more boring system.

    We never have asked for a corean feast.... please wake up!

    If it's true that zerging mobs vs. killing things with your party has a substantial difference in rewards, I hope people figure that out soon. Rude and/or oblivious people taking over camps annoys me to no end.
