    Wasnt the point of the endless grind in XI that once you got the weapon, it lasted for years. By the time you have this weapon it will already be outdated it seems.

    That's the difference, so much work for something that at best might hold up for weeks to a month.

    Not worth it, and I've loved the grinds of previous relics.

    This won't be like diadem, says Yoshi P....? I don't understand why they keep forcing this style of content. On top og that why did this reskined Diadem with reskined mobs and reskinned rewards take so long to release?

    It's closer to being compared to FFXI's Abyssea (and possibly more; like Reisenjima Job Point farming, or maybe even Dynamis Divergence) than Diadem. In Diadem v1, even low rank mobs had a lot of HP (and you needed to kill them to spawn NM's). In v2, their HP was lowered, but then you didn't really need to stick around after you were done with everything (and if someone left, your party could not be refreshed).

    From what I'm reading, I'm kind of glad they added this. It's a taste of what FFXI was for years. (Before it got decent with FoV, Abyssea, ToAU parties, etc.) Grinding for hours upon countless hours on mobs for abysmal experience. Thankfully, in FFXIV, it's only one instance, and not the entire game. And you only have to level to 20, not 75. It's fixable. You just have to put Tanaka in the broom closet for a little while.

    I should also probably point out the irony of a chance of a crystal drop from each mob. Oh~hohoho... the nostalgia.

    Truly horrible. The worse content this game has ever released. And the worst content patch for any mmo or game i have ever played.

    Except it is nothing like FFXI. In FFXI only your party could fight a mob at any given time (even though it was grindy), therefore the gameplay was relevant at all time. Here due to the fact that there aren't any limitation on the number of players that can fight a mob at any given time, it is basically like all the open world content in FFXIV : a mindless zergfest.

    Oh come on, you talk as if we didn't already go through this with Diadem 1.0. Planning an expedition to... do the same thing you were doing in the previous area, mindlessly hit the same mobs for 3 hours in a row.
