Lack of a cart option has never bothered me though can become annoying putting in info each time, don't think I've ever thought about it. If I have to buy multiple items one at a time then so be it if they add a cart option later that's great too.

I save alot of money due to there not being a shopping cart. Because I am buying 1 item at a time by the time I get to the second item I just dont feel like entering my credit card information again, and then i rethink of purchasing.
If they had a shopping cart I could only imagine how much more sales the Mogstation would get.
Shopping carts on commerce websites were a common thing for years before 1.0 happened... I think SE just can't understand modern design on any level other than graphics.
Here is the most famous case. The guy managed to get unbanned after a few weeks of massive community support but there have been others who weren't so lucky.
PSA regarding the importance of using crysta
"Mog Station has this terrible checkout system for which every item you buy has to be checked out and paid for separately. I bought two sets of rare dyes, each of which cost $7.50, and did the checkout one after the other. My CC company flagged this as a duplicate transaction, because hey, that’s exactly what it looks like to a computer. Once the credit card company contacted Square Enix about it, SE decided I deserved to be banned for something the credit card company did without my knowledge. "

Indeed. Never had problems myself with Mog Station doing multiple transactions.
We all certainly have a right to our opinion, but only in the realm of video games can I imagine customers being happy something is inconvenient.
To expand upon what was stated above....
It's a fraud detection system tripping.
Multiple charges from the same place, at the same time, for the same amount can trigger a flag on the account of possible fraud or multi charges.
In some cases, the card company will just charge back the 'extra' charges.
And, when your account does a chargeback, it gets banned.
Because charge backs are Very serious in the business world.
It puts a stain on the company, they incur fees, etc.
So, typically, if you do a chargeback your account gets permanantly banned.
It's when these companies decicde to do stuff like this upon possible multi charges instead of contacting the customer first where problems occur.
While these types of fraud detection checks are good for the consumer, situations like this can happen.
The lack of a cart option for mogstation purchases means you either have to buy crysta, or make multiple purchases in rapid succession.
This is a major problem with the mogstation in regards to how companies check for fraud.
The thing is SE could buy and off the shelf storefront to handle purchasing and then setup a back end to handle delivery of the items to the appropriate account/character. In the big picture it would mean very little development of SE's part. I just think SE like many content companies gets so hung up on content that they forget that positive user experiences are also highly affected by the platform and things like stores.
Personally, I've never had any of these fraud detection systems flag actual fraud. The few times I had fraudulent charges, I caught them myself with no help from the bank.
