I would enjoy a shopping cart, but at the same time the fact it isn't one helps b to prevent me from buying too much stuff so it's kinda a boon. But probably a cart is more effective in the long run.

I guess it prevents me buying stuff all together. I log in, realise its too hard, remember the real possibility of getting perma-banned and log out again :P

It's a good idea but I don't think they will do anything.

If someone wins an argument, they have learned nothing.
FOR DOCKHAND!
The other day I went on a bit of a shopping spree for emotes and ended up with all these separate charges going to my credit card. Wouldn't it be cheaper for SE if it was all done as one transaction? I know a cart system isn't free, but in the long run wouldn't it be more cost effective for them? Someone educate me on credit card transactions if I've got the wrong idea.
Depends on a few things... might work differently in Japan, too.The other day I went on a bit of a shopping spree for emotes and ended up with all these separate charges going to my credit card. Generally there is a minimum fee that essential middlemen services (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) take for every transaction that passes through their network. That's why you'll see some stores require a minimum of $5 or some such for credit card purchases (otherwise they actually lose money on the transaction). If SE has priced all of its offerings above those minimum fees, then they will still profit from the transactions. At that point the only argument to create a shopping cart would be increased use of the MogShop due to increased ease of shopping for the customer. If they have data strongly suggesting that a lot of people only buy one thing in one session, they might not look to implement the feature. That would be pretty short-sighted though since I'm willing to bet that Kurando and Rockette aren't unique in their experiences.
I'm happy for the Mog Shop to stay inconvenient since I don't agree with it's existence in the first place though. So go ahead and stay stuck in the digital stone age, SE.![]()
Isn't the standard response to stop RMT?
