Whoa. You put a ton of effort into this.

I agree! having Ivalician moogles would be a nice change of pace from all the humanoids, and they wouldn't be too out of place given the Ivalice raid (likely soon to be raids).
Not to mention the fact that they're frickin' adorable!

    Probably not this, though.
This style of moogle would be easier to implement than the Viera....

Holy shit, the effort, I love it!

My major concern with Ivalician Moogles is the fact that Moogles in their traditional form exist in Eorzea. You'd expect sprout players jumping in on this new race would likely be confused by the fact there are two wildly different kinds of Moogles, (especially Gridania starters) and we've gone so far as to explore lore and tribal differences between them.

Have you heard of Namingway? We have a minion version of the character in FFXIV. The Ivalician Moogles seem to draw as much from that character and his race as they do "normal" moogles. The Pom and wings are really the only link between the two types, so if we remove those for some other trait (tail types?) we could retain the core aesthetic without retconning a ton of lore.

Sounds like it's time for some new City-states! Start them Moogles off on a new continent!

You mean quarantine the little sociopaths?

    KUPO THIS, YOU LITTLE--

*might be traumatized by this game's moogles, just a bit*

I've never considered the Ivalician Moogles as a race in the game, but you put a lot of effort here and it was an amazing read! I agree with others when they say lore wise it might not make the most sense, but it strengthens my want for more of a "beast" playable race.

Lots of effort an thought put in! You have my vote of approval!
Imo a way better choice than Viera, An actual truely beastlike playable race is something this game needs a fair bit. No one expects the Kupo inquisition!

Count my vote as a strong NO. I think the Viera would be preferred by many more people. I cringed as soon as I read the suggestion for using Lalafel models for anything. I would prefer a quest to eradicate moogles altogether. Their type of "cuteness" is what I dislike about FF. The moogle quests in HW were created for the sole purpose of generating hatred towards their species.

Fortunately, most people cannot even see moogles, so lorewise, it should be a non-starter.

    My own opinion, obviously.

Wow. I'm surprised people didn't flood this thread telling people to switch to a Lalafell and put the damn Moogle Hat on their heads if they wanted to be a Moogle. XD I'd also love to have this version of Moogle available to play. That is, so long as Viera get implemented as well~
