I would like to see dancer as a tank. Sort of a Wushu monk type that builds enmity by deflecting blows. For some reason, I just can't picture a kata wielding character class being a healer.
Some other kind of healer, perhaps a shaman type that uses magic to absorb damage (like the EQ2 shaman) or a HoT type healer (EQ2 druid).
I don't really think we need another DPS, but a beast master type would compliment the current lineup, one that uses natural abilities, not like SMN that uses magic.



I imagine dancer would use tessen or iron fans, and I suppose there might be some more shieldlike and they could be extremely defensive too... that might be very interesting to see, but it's a fairly big departure from classic FF dancer... which is usually a debuffer/saboteur with some nice damage output. I suppose they could also be a debuff tank to reduce enemy effectiveness. but it may not be balanced if the debuffs worked for everyone, so perhaps just debuffs when targetting the dancer tank? or maybe they are actually "buffs" on the dancer tank that reduce damage and effectiveness of enemies.

I would like a healer that heals through the damage they output. Would be a pain to balance, just think it would be an interesting play style.

Dont know what to call it...maybe BEASTMASTER of some sort. Egi based or crystal based. Those who remember playing FFXIII-2, you remember that if you defeated a monster, it would turn into a monster crystal. Using these monster crystals you captured in battle will cause these monsters to fight along side of you. Different monsters had different attributes. You had monsters that will add buffs to the party, some monsters would add debuffs to the mobs; some monsters would heal the party, etc.



I would love to see a Freelancer or Onion Knight where you basically build your role from all class/job actions you have unlocked. But that would go against everything this game has built...

They can be from Illyshire created by the goblins and fire syringe bullets to both heal allies and cause status ailments to enemies.

Well firstly I am hoping that they ease off on the number of dps roles that they add.. we have a good balance now, so they don't need to add 2 or more. If they *must* add one, I'd ask for Beastmaster since it seems to be a fan favourite and many here have asked for it.
They need to add two more tank roles, and one more healer role imo. Ideally they should add two of both.... but I don't see that happening.
I'd love to see the Fencer role added as a tank that uses pole arms (or short dragoon lances and not rapiers like RDM) as well as a shield. I'm not sure on the specifics of what I'd like the class to play out like, but I definitely think that this type of role could cover the whole blunt tanking role that is missing.
For the healer role? Elementalist. They could easily work Elementalist into a healing job that has a number of abilities for debuffing enemies.
I also would really love Chemist to be added.
