Personally I would enjoy quests related to the dolls and the tradition/lore of the LLD event again over some girlies dancing on a stage.

I'm not sure if you did the first two Little Ladies Day Events in ARR?
The first one was about Edvya - a doll, modeled after a Sultans daughter. The GSM-guild had built her for a competion about making dolls, but she wasnt working, so they asked you to show her around to cheer her up and in the end she didnt want to leave your side anymore - which is how we got that minion.
The second one was about a rich Ul'dahn man who lost touch with his daughter and tried to win her back by building a showcase of lifesized dolls - in the end his daughter told him that she was upset that he was working so much and never had time for her again. She was still happy about the dolls because it showed her that her dad does care for her, but would have rather spend time with him.

...and after that... three years of Dating Sim and Dancing... I'm glad they included that little quest at the end this year because the whole "Oh, Songbirds are back on stage"-buisness was quite boring and stale by now.

I really, really hope they'll go back to the roots of the festival again and drop those girlies. I'm so, so done with them and so, so ready to have some nice, heartwarming little stories again.
I agree. I'm also done with this Jack-o-lantern guy with the Halloween series and the Valentine couple for Valentine's Day, and the Easter Miqo'te. I'm personally drained on all of them and don't really get excited when I see them. When the event comes around it's more like "Oh it's you again... what silly thing will you require of me this year..." Basically, I just want more verity. I want to know the person I helped last time is happy now, but instead I feel more like they have a problem every year that they can't handle without me being involved. Though I admit I'm making it sound worse than it really is and can get a little bit nit picky.
