Panties was a term used in FFxi, even Kalo from Limit Break Radio called out the term once. I think if they would take that design from the "Conan" image or create a whole different *subligar with a diverse design, the term "Panties" would whither down. Subligars are like armor too and shouldn't be illustrated so plainly as the one on the OP.

*That my friend is a low-level subligar and as a subligar-lover myself, there should be various designs of them and made into fashion: Belt-buckles, spikes, studs and steel plates, even engravings and other designs.
