New Bard Performance is... pretty bad.

For myself in general, the new changes are harder to play any kind of song. And suggesting to change the keybinds doesn't help, why? The answer is simple...I have no musical experience. Before it was simple, place the notes on your hotbar and go. I have suggested to my friends that SE could just make it a QuickTime event mini game you can play whenever. Select a song from a list->Press the right keys at the right time->Make beautiful music. Press the the wrong ones and you go off key. One fix I can see done to make this better perhaps.

I mean what you're suggesting there is effectively guitar hero... since guitar hero is, in essence, a complex quicktime event with more than one button.

I would tend away from this sort of thing though. I much prefer what they have now with complete freedom to play what and how you want. Games like guitar hero restrict you to certain songs. On top of that, 99% of the songs available this way would not be allowed to be implemented by SqE due to licensing and copyright. Guitar hero purchases the licenses for the songs on each game.
