Why is Allagan currency still limited to 99 stacks?

Because it serves no use in the game other than to be sold to a NPC for gil, and SE decided to leave that group of items at 99 max stacks.

No it doesn't. There's no reason to stack them except when you're trying to exceed the gil limit on a server transfer.

To sell to people trying to circumvent the transfer limits...that's the only reason I would keep them...but I just sell them to a NPC because effort.
