I have never seen them add the gears/housing items from previous events to a current event. The only thing they ever re-add is the Magiked Prisms. That is all I have EVER seen them add back to an event. Not sure IF I got any certs or not don't really care, because what is being offered I do NOT WANT! I wanted to be able to get the clothes from past LLD events, but it seems that's not going to be the case. This event SUCKS ! I'm not doing it on my other chars on other servers, and thinking very seriously about NOT renewing my sub ! I'm REALLY PISSED ! I couldn't even find the clothes on the mog station!
Gonna just add to this that after trying every variation of suggestions, the FATE is still giving at worst non-participation or at best a Bronze rating with no reward. Also on an alt I used the books to obtain the non-FATE versions of the emotes and they weren't added but the books were still used.
Ok, so when you boil this event down, you're going to a concert and waving glowsticks at a preteen pop idol group, and in return you get vouchers that you can trade in for a Tetris shelf and a CD single. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself, it's actually a fun diversion from all the end-of-the-world stuff we usually deal with. The problem is the mechanics of the FATE, which seem intuitive on the surface but apparently have tons of less obvious underlying variables that make things wonky beyond reason given how unimportant this piece of content is (I've seen raid mechanics less finicky than this).
"Pick your favorite and wave the right color emote at her exclusively." "Emote at the girl that starts the FATE and the one that matches your shirt." "Emote at everyone that pops up but prioritize the one that matches your shirt." "It's a FATE, so maybe partying up will help." Everyone's got their own idea of how this FATE works, and it always seems to work consistently for THEM, but their strat falls apart the instant someone else tries it. I tried any number of different tactics last night (some of which were suggested here), got silver once and bronze every round after, even if I repeated the strat that got me silver; my wife went in this morning and got gold on everything she tried, most of which were the same things I was doing last night (only exception was a round she joined late, which got her bronze instead). The only thing we figured out from our combined runs is that partying up actually seems to HARM your score rather than help it, which feels counter-intuitive for an MMO. Everything else was inconsistent at best--my wife actually tried a run where she all but IGNORED the girl who matched her shirt, emoting exclusively at the other two unless her "chosen" singer was the only one available, and she STILL got gold despite actively trying to sabotage her score for science. Until someone can empirically test every variable and/or post a strat that works universally, I'm gonna go ahead and call this event bad.
can't get any vouchers either, have done the fate 5-6 times, either bronze or nothing. But to be frank, that is typical for an event fate. It has skills with long timers, and if you happen to have some latency someone else is always going to get the "hit" in first. (being in AU, there's a mile of difference between what I can do and someone with 15ms pings in JP). Then to the watercolour thing... every single time I have gone out to look... duststorm. sheesh.
I'm pretty certain a crucial aspect of this FATE is unlike regular FATEs where you can get Gold reward for showing up only at the end or leaving halfway through as long as you do enough damage or satisfy the requirements, this FATEs specifically has no window for error or idleness, you basically have to do it immediately, stay right there to the end and click on one of the singers and do the required emote every single time. Although I only concentrated on the one singer whose outfit matched the colour of my costume (I chose Mashu for consistency's sake) and didn't try doing the others, and I got gold every time.
The reason I believe the crucial requirement for getting gold is to be there for the entirety of the FATE and to click on a singer every time the emote is needed is because I only got silver for one particular FATE where I missed one window for the emote (due to a trolling player on Balmung leaving his Carbuncle on the stage that was interfering with tab targeting - I wasn't the only one annoyed by that given the constant shouts by irate players to "GET THAT DAMN CARBY OFF THE STAGE!!"), and ended up with silver. But every other one I did where I used the emote every time for Mashu I got gold.
So, from that it's clear you don't need to do the emote on all of the singers, just one (the one that matches your costume), but you need to do it every time it becomes available (you can tell when it is because they do the 'songbird' emote with the music effect around them), as well as be there from the moment it starts to the moment it ends (hence it helps not to deactivate the costume even after the FATE ends, it saves you having to run back to the Royal Handmaiden to get the costume buff again).
Yeah, just found them. Of course the other day when I looked the clothes / items where NOT there, but then " THEY " gotta get that money................. Anyway figured out what I was doing wrong when I was NOT getting the certs so it's all good for now !
Our server had the idiots jumping at the front of the stage trying to stop the targeting. GMs should forcibly remove griefers for a certain duration. That will stop that crap. WoW gms used to do that when people stood on NPCs with huge mounts.

For PC players if you just hold X it'll prevent you from targetting players. Should help ya.
