Squadron limit break (Ungarmax) can be used in regular duties by any job

I'm curious as to just how badly each fight in Sigmascape Savage could've been cheesed by Ungarmax assuming an AST was extending its duration each time it was used.

I feel like you could've easily skipped over a major phase or even two entirely when you can get over two minutes of 50% more DPS on most fights.

In any case, I'm glad they seem to be addressing it quickly now that it's gotten more attention. I just wish they could be that active about addressing bots and hackers...

Eh, giving warning about what's getting fixed just means "Exploit this while you can!" Even for players that never knew about the exploit to begin with. The idea is to quietly patch it out before it gets abused any more than it already has.

I understand this, however the emergency maint notice was given with less then an hour left before it, which for an exploit such as Ungarmax is most likely not enough time to clear any meaningful content with said exploit, though course I might be wrong.

Did they fix this, because as far as I recall, it was never addressed as a bug or fixed, though I would have to read over the patch notes again to see if they mentioned anything about it.

I can personally attest that the solo ghost strategy is still alive in OS5.

Good lord. ._. Yeah, I do wonder if the developers will address this. I only heard about this exploit this week, so it's all news to me. But to be around for 4-5 months and nothing has been done about it... hmm. Makes me wonder how many groups did use it in Deltascape or Ultimate.

A lot according to FFlogs data that had to be removed. Players were even selling clears for hundred millions of gil only to smash the content with this glitch for their get rich quick sales.

You want Ultimate Bahamut clear? Sure... pay us 300million. *enters Bahamut and obliterates him with glitch* Grats on your clear~

Long story short. The glitch was abused hard.

Oh I was around for that mass ban in ffxi due to that exploit got a good laugh at all the salt that was produced. Getting a good laugh from this too SE truly doesn't disappoint when stirring up drama alerts.

I think the worst part about it is that it's pretty clearly unintentional and those who are abusing it are getting a major, unfair advantage over honest players. Will they be punished, I wonder?

Gunna be hard to punish everyone. Party Finder Byakko runs were ripe with it. I left a group when they started to discuss using it because I'd rather just not risk it! I do hope people get a warning about abusing stuff like that but when it's so wide scale it's hard to punish people fairly when not everyone is aware the exploit is even taking place (I can imagine people joining byakko and having no clue it was going to happen).

I think they should just punish the people who were actually using Ungarmax unless others in a party were openly advocating its usage after learning about it.

It's just common sense to know that something labeled as "Only usable on squadron missions" should not be used outside of them.

It's not hard, they can go through the logs (especially from specific instances) and just ban (either temporary or permanent) everyone in the groups which have used it (unless said player has reported it, I guess), like they did with the Salvage ban waves. They went through a full year of chat logs and banned almost 1000 players who had joined those instances.

Honestly I wouldn't ban someone for using it in Titan Hard mode or Crystal Tower for example just to try it out. I would only ban those who used it for savage content especially if it was their first clear. If it was your 5th clear of o5s then I honestly don't care if people used it.
