Kingdom Hearts III crossover event

Yokai Watch was bad enough. This is worse.

How is a game that is part FF having an event in FFXIV worse than Yokai Watch (which is not FF related) having an event in FFXIV? KH has a darker story that fits FFXIV more than anything Yokai. If you're saying that because you're worried about us getting Disney themed stuff I strongly doubt that would happen. Yeah, Donald and Goofy could appear in the event, but that doesn't mean any minions, gear, etc would be based on the Disney side of KH as I'm sure SE would also be against us having Disney stuff in Hydaelyn. This means once event is over Disney won't be seen in Hydaelyn, so any rewards would most likely be from the SE side of KH. Then again I wouldn't be surprised to see Disney rewards since we do have stuff from Yokai and DQ. I'm fine either way.

You could just... not do the crossover events? They're entirely extra? Not required in any way, shape, form?

(Personally, I'm for anything that gives us gear that isn't yet another recolor of a crappy dungeon set from the last expansion, so...)

I did skip the Yokai Watch event, both times. My point though is FF14 would be flooded by content from various other games. I signed up for Final Fantasy Online, not another variation of Disney Infinity and other similar games that cram a whole bunch of different games/series into one. One or two crossovers is something no one will really bat an eye at, but more is just pushing it.

My opinion came from a personal perspective. I find Yokai Watch is a ripoff of Pokemon, but I detest using keys as a sword even more. That is where my opinion on the matter ended, and my opinionated vote. What I said after my vote is my logical debate on the matter not influenced by my personal opinion on the 2 game franchises. Also KH has FF content only as per its collaboratory nature. SE could just add the FF content it has and ignore the rest of what KH has, which would be fine since it was originally from Final Fantasy anyway.

Some keyblades don't look like keys and look more like a sword. If past events are anything to go off of, we wouldn't get weapon designs yanked directly from the game, but rather designs inspired by the game. Since keyblades don't exist on Hydaelyn, this means we would most likely get a unique uniform design for Hydaelyn weapons inspired by KHIII, meaning they will still look like Hydaelyn weapons. In example the hilt of a sword could have KHIII color pallette, maybe with a key chain hanging from it, or a kingdom key design on it. Also, keep in mind that not every crossover event has had weapons or even a mount. We could end up with just minions and/or maybe a unisex Organization XIII coat. Who knows.

I'm with you in the whole over exaggeration of cross over events' however I happen to be a big fan of Kingdom Hearts, I would love to dual wield key blades for one :P now keep in mind cross over events are not mandatory. A gag here and there for fun is nice ( the glowing mount was pretty funny ). So yes you can be a party pooper or just ignore the cross over events. I mean come on they did Alpha from chocobo dungeon for Omega raid so anything can be possible right?

Yes please. I will be very sad if there isn't one for XV, KH3 and the remake of VII.

Chocobos are directly linked with the Final Fantasy franchise though, spin-off or not.

Which is possible because Omega's world is kinda separated from Hydaelyn's. Omega creates whatever it wants there.
Kingdom Heart's universe doesn't exactly exist in the Final Fantasy universe (it has its own rules and lore that aren't exactly the same as FF's). I'm fine with the event if it's just glamour stuff and references to the series, but if actual characters appear (like Shantotto, Iroha and Lightning) then I'm gonna have to be a party pooper as well.

But pushing it for who? If you don't do the events, then it's like they never even happened. Unless you're opposed to even seeing other people wearing gear/having minions/mounts of anything that isn't 110% pure(!!!) Final Fantasy? In which case, mannn do I have some bad news for you about the inspirations for a ton of our existing "FFXIV original" glamour gear...

And I mean... what even qualifies as "Final Fantasy Online" or not? "Final Fantasy" is already a massive umbrella term that "crams a whole bunch of different games/series into one"... FFXIV is a giant living, breathing crossover world in which we have Kekfa popping in for a boss fight and Ramza over here in Rabanastre... Is that crossover somehow more acceptable just because their games had "Final Fantasy" in the names, despite being oftentimes as different (and sometimes even more different, if we're talking about Final Fantasy Tactics) from FFXIV as Kingdom Hearts is?
