My Opinion of the Little Ladies Day Event

Actually I know what he is talking about.

It isn't just in events its patches and updates also, where it seems they don't try to give us something that is for males but give us all female stuff.

Don't believe me, the hairstyles in last patch are for girls even that short style was, the patch before that hairstyle right out of final fantasy type 0 female hairstyle ported to male.

Clothing modified from female clothing to male its out of hand and sure I could glamour it into something cool but I would like also something new looking instead of glamouring old out dated armor I have seen before.

Ladys day that doesn't bug me its that they aren't even trying to give guys anything just porting it over from girl characters idk why maybe cause community in here keeps begging for equal stuff but sorry SE don't put us guys who don't wanna dress up like girls in the same section as those guys who want that.

International Mens day is Nov. 17, or 11th, around there (not that the lot would know, sadly) . Perhaps there should he a new event in that time period.

Isn't there an event for the men in Japanese culture called "Whites Day" or something (which sounds so racist to Western ears on first glance!) I realize we don't have it in-game but I don't mind.

I never knew about Little Ladies Day or the Japanese customs tied to the real holiday before I started playing this game, so it's like a little cultural excursion each time they give us new items -- like the glow sticks, I didn't understand the connotation, but read a bit more into it, and I think it's really neat.

I do think that the menfolk characters need some outfit love too. I loathe robes!

"White Day", not "Whites" - basically Valentine's Day is split in two between the normal date (on which males give gifts to females) and White Day a month later where the roles are reversed. (At least I think it's that way around, if I'm remembering correctly.)

For game purposes, it's much simpler to have the single - and more widely familiar - event.

Nah, White Day (14th march) is, in a sense, the opposite of Valentines Day.
In Japan its the girls giving chocolates to the guys on Valentines Day, while they dont get anything.
On White Day its the guys turn to get gifts for the girls they recived chocolates from a month earlier. (Note here that girls will often hand out chocolates to work mates and the like, not only to their partner/crush)

So White Day is actually more about girls, I'd say - with Valentines Day in turn being more about the guys.

Both Women and Men deserve praise as both genders have done great things. I just don't think SE is doing anything to celebrate guys. They didn't even include a boy's event like XI's "Feast of Swords" but they make a effort to have their yearly LLD event. Men don't have a lot of variety in gear nor glamour items either. All I'm saying is, SE should celebrate guys just like they celebrate the ladies like they did in FFXI. If saying how I feel about the obvious (imo) gender inequality in this game makes me a "loon" or a "troll" or in it for the "lulz" then so be it. I love this game to pieces but I see a obvious flaw in how they treat men compared to women.

They are following current trends and what they think will give them good numbers. And thats about making cute stuff or events that go with it.
