And remember, the Agrius's modern sister ship the Gration had it's engines permanently frozen by a weakened Primal that merely was powered by a Crystal of Light - Bahamut in all his Calamitous, aether-empowered maniacal glory would have absolutely obliterated it. There really would not have been any contest.

To be fair, Shiva freezing the Gration's engines is more like a precision disabling strike, since she couldn't just blow up the Gration through sheer brute force.

Bahamut would probably be able to use that brute force to just swat the Gration out of the sky without even noticing, though. So your point stands.

Well since the Garleans have been trying to find out how the Allagans controlled dragons let alone primals. Them going to Silvertear was probably a mix of our friends in black whispering stuff in their ear and of them trying to try something different after the massive explosion that happened at their base when they 1st tried to contact Dalamud. The seal according to an Ethy's video didn't break until both Midgardsormr and the Agrius crashed back down into the lake. Middy probably awoke because disrupting that high amount of aether could have had dangerous results in it's own.

Bahamut could have destoyed it but his rage was more of a obliterate everything type deal.
