Would you pay $50 to cross job glamour?

My point in referencing XI is that the poster I quoted was making it sound as if AF was still locked in XI, and it isn't.

I don't think we can claim whether or not unlocking AF would be considered fan service or not seeing that their only other MMO has already gone that route. There isn't much background to form an opinion on, and I've not seen any official polls. However, all of the various FF bosses coming from other games, outfits, music, cross-over events, etc - they don't really help make Eorzea feel like it's own world. We just continue to borrow and implement from everywhere else. So yes, the fan service in this game is insanely high. Letting people cross-job glamour seems quite minor when you take into account everything else already in game.

My post is also an opinion, so a poll is not needed. The opinion is formulated based off the comments I have read from other players over the years, and I conclude that most players would dislike being able to glam the AF sets on anything other than its respective job. Those who want it, are in the minority and their history with the franchise doesn't go back much further than FF X-2. Again, this doesn't apply to everyone, and is just a general observation.

My main point is FFXI is its own game. It's an example that you can only put so many ingredients in a soup before it becomes a bisque. Back in the days of Chains of Promathia, it really felt like a FF title. The setting of this game takes place in Eorzea, but it is still a Final Fantasy game. "Minor" things like keeping AF exclusive actually has a big impact on keeping this game feeling like it's a FF game. I am all for fan service if it's a good service to not only the current game, but also the franchise.

I might be willing to pay $0.50 for that option, but no more than that.

If cross-job glamours are allowed at all - there are arguments both for and against allowing it - then it should be included in the subscription price.

Since I only play monk (I have SAM leveled to 70 as well, and DRG at 60, etc, but eh, its easier to stick with one job), no.

They sorta lost whatever credibility they had in their "because lore" reasons when they decided to add flying spinning turtles, flying elephants, flying chairs and pig suits. Just sayin'. I still disagree with the idea of cross job glamours (mostly AF sets). I think crafted, dungeon or raid sets would be reasonable to varying degrees. Still wouldn't pay extra though since that's what the topic is about.

I would be more than okay with open glamour/usage for crafters or gatherers so long as it's a crafting or gathering job using the gear. Like a Weaver using a armorer's coat or a fisher using the miner's helm. So long as it isn't the current items (level 70 now) then it should open up a bit.

Keep asking and soon everything you wanted will have a price tag on it. All the glamor on the Mog Station could of been free, but people sympathized with SE and accepted that they would only do it for extra cash instead of banning together.

For $50 more SE please make the game more entertaining.
