Disappointing Rank 8 Reward of Ananta Tribe

Ugh I was worried that was going to be the case. I am upset that they would just give us another mount, that is a recolor, instead of awesome glamour from a beast tribe that personally I love. They gave us a whole armor set for the kojin, which I found super ugly, but did not do the same for the Ananta? Lame. They could've easily given us the waist wrap, the top and the headdresses they wear. The complaints about tht glamour being to feminine for people, the kojin armor was copletly masculine and unflattering so whats the difference?

As a huge fan of the Anantas I'm miffed at the way they are treating the Ananta tribe. First they didn't give us Lakshmi weapons, not even for glamour, then they don't even give us glamour outfits from their quest line? I'm disappointed.

tbh, even with the Vanu Vanu tribe, I would've preferred they give us the garb the beast tribes used. I don't want to dress up as a Vanu Vanu, the cloth thing would've worked

But, we get two mounts at least

I wanted a white griffin pretty bad, so I was happy to hear that it was the rank 8 reward. It's also incorporated into their story, so it makes sense.

Gotta admit, I'm pretty disappointed too. As a lamiaphile, the ananta are my favorite beast tribe, but as brought up earlier, the quest was more of another extension to the resistance than an actual look at the anantan culture.

The ananta vendors are nice, sure. The elephant mount is fun only in how outrageous it is, and I feel the same emotions getting a reskinned griffin as I do getting a reskinned pony--which is to say, none. I'm glad some people can enjoy a griffin mount free of the HW collector's edition, but at the same time, I would have preferred some glamour. Maybe some will be added later when we get to Rank 8, but still disappointing nonetheless.

I don't think anyone is saying they didn't want this in the game. That's a completely different argument and has nothing to do with the disappointment of not getting something NEW from a new beast tribe.

I'm all for more reskins being added to the game but most of the stuff we got was just reused assets.

I still consider what we got preferable to more beastman glamour I'd never wear. I'll get plenty of mileage out of the Elephant and White Griffin mount. The vendors for my house were a nice change as well in my mind.

You got vendors instead of glamour, you got an elephant mount. The Griffin is an extra thing that actually gives the Ananta something more than the Kojin. You got the new stuff, they decided to throw in something extra, and they're getting bashed for it? Like what I said before, glamour is not always gonna be in beast tribes, it's not something that HAS to be added just because 3 out of 10 have them.

We got vendors instead of crafting materials, tbh. I'd rather the vendors, but the ananta cannot be used to get crafting mats like the kojin, vath, vanu, and moogles can. The griffin is a boring reskin of one we already had. So in the end the ananta gave us:
nails (yay wasting a slot to give characters things...their base model should already have?)
vendors (as opposed to crafting mats)
Elephant (equivalent of ray)
Griffin (reskin of one we have already)

I still consider what we got preferable to more beastman glamour I'd never wear. I'll get plenty of mileage out of the Elephant and White Griffin mount. The vendors for my house were a nice change as well in my mind.

I'm glad you find value in the mounts ^u^ Personally speaking, I get more mileage out of glamour than mounts, since I have a lot of mounts now, even on my alt character there's so many I could never use all of them to satisfaction.
