They might as well release the 3 races that its completed for, and then add the other races in time to that gear, because at the moment its been years and there hasn't been much fruit on this tree. Chop it down.

Yes and no. It's true that it'd be amazing to receive more masculine gear designs, especially ones that will not be made unisex for whatever reason as females have gender locked outfits out the wazoo while guys keep falling behind (although I'd love to be able to dress my ladies up with some fine looking masculine outfits depends on the chara, but that's besides the point since they're not hurting for options).
HOWEVER. There are still many people who would very much like to be able to dress their male characters in a feminine nature. Maybe in a more skimpy nature, too. For those people as well the options are limited as most of those options are gender locked, be it by the item itself being locked, or it being a unisex item with different designs for either gender. Either way those people get horribly shafted.
Aside from that, let it be said that this outfit dragging on for as long as it does, regardless of what outfit we're even talking about, just comes to show in general how male-centred designs are handled by SE - poorly, if at all.
It's common in virtually every fantasy RPG for the female characters' clothing to get significantly more attention. I don't know if it's because people most often play female characters, or something more grim, like a perception from developers that their playerbase are all lewd teenage boys that just want to ogle the female characters.
Either way, this treatment is pretty much the norm. Not that I condone it...

That would be a novel way for SE to be unfair. It only took them four years to make three versions, I'm sure we can wait another four years for everyone to have it... assuming another race isn't added in during that time.
I want more unabashedly masculine gear more than I want more feminine/neutral options. This is probably because I'm a healer first and foremost, but I feel like I have to go far out of my way to avoid dresses, skirts, and feminine things. It's something I dislike about how healers are geared in this game in general... and unlike the girls, I don't have nearly endless options to glamour a different look. It definitely wouldn't kill SE to make more sets that aren't a unisex dress or shirt/skirt combo. We have way too many as-is.
I have nothing against people who want to look pretty as guys, and so my suggestion to them is... play healer. :P I would like to have more manly things to wear when I go out to save people's lives.

But this shouldn't be the norm. SE needs to realize that men play this game too. Why should females get more attention than men? Men matter too. Women also matter. But SE is so fixated on females that they shun men in a lot of ways in this game. Gear and glamour in particular. They need to make gender neutral gear or at least more masculine gear for guys. Not every male healer wants to wear a goddamn dress SE. Whoever's in charge of their fashion designs deserves to be fired. It's common in virtually every fantasy RPG for the female characters' clothing to get significantly more attention. The funny thing is that this glamour situation actually caters more to the male gaze. In many ways it shafts the women who play as well by forcing their male charas into subpar glamours, and supplying far too many sexualized outfits for the female charas.
So this really hurts both sides involved, people who want their guy charas in mascular gear, and ladies and mlm guys who'd love to dress their guy charas up.
tl;dr we all pay the same sub and a lot of people are hurt by this for various reasons
Exactly. I'm pretty sure this situation exists because the developers are catering more to the male audience. The funny thing is that this glamour situation actually caters more to the male gaze. As an aside, I just want to take the time to thank everybody that has supported this thread so far! The original post now has 97 upvotes as of the time of this post - that's quite a lot! Given that this thread has also received an official response, it should be on the developers radar. So be sure to keep it up!![]()
Agreed. More male glamours of all kinds would be welcome!

FFXV crossover event please with the male glamours
