That's actually wrong. You can keep buying houses as long as it is for an FC. I know the rules state otherwise but I think that's a mistranslation. You can have 8 fc houses on one account.

No, it’s right. I had a friend who had a mutual friend’s alt in her FC (his main is the master of an FC), and she could not purchase an FC plot because that character was in hers. Met all other requirements in rank and members, but could not buy a plot when 4.2 dropped because of that.

The only workaround you can do to achieve more than a single FC house on the same account is to have someone buy an FC plot, invite your alt, and then make them leader. And do that for each of the 8 characters you can have on an account. For purchasing land outright, you cannot do that if your FC has characters or alts that share an account with other characters already in or owning an FC plot.

Unfortunately, this rule is pretty easy to get around if you have at least four accommodating friends. Have them form the FC, rank it up, and buy the house, then invite your alt. Give the alt lead and have the other four leave the FC to form another. Rinse and repeat until all alts have FC houses. It's tedious and time-consuming, but I'm guessing at least some people (probably mostly resellers) did this while personal housing was disabled.

I'm sorry for your friend. The problem with these kinds of hard restrictions is that those who want to get around them will find ways and honest players will be the ones suffering inconveniences.

Yeah, I know about that workaround, but I’m just talking about purchasing the land outright. Not using an invite workaround. I clarified that in my post to make it...more clear lol. :3

Yeah, I’m sorry for them, too. I tried to help them rectify the situation by telling them to just remove our friend’s alt, but by then the plot they wanted was all bought up in the new wards, and they didn’t feel like trying for another one. Which is sad, but it’s their choice.
