My Opinion of the Little Ladies Day Event

And this is why we can't have nice things, I just wanna do the event and rave but now we're talking about how men are marginalized in a game that doesn't even physically exist because it's pixels.

Because men ARE being marginalized? It's not about the pixels. It's about how SE gives men the shaft in favor of women for the majority of their games (including this one.) They favor females cause for them cleavage sells their games. They have done NOTHING for men. They forget that guys also play their game too. We aren't seen as equal in their eyes. It's been apparent since FFX. I know it sounds like I'm complaining but really if that's what you think then sorry for stating my opinion of something that has become fact in XIV.

And yes, I remember the boy's event in FFXI with the Feast of Swords. Anyone else wonder why they carry over EVERY event from FFXI to XIV but leave out the boy's event? I'm done and I rest my case.

Unless you have hard evidence of male characters and men being shafted frequently and prejudicedly, it's still an opinion, not a fact.

Not having a "Little Boy's Day" event is not really proof that SE is shafting male characters...though your posts make it sound more like you're focusing on male players than characters. In which case, it's still just an opinion.

A look over some of XI's events gives me the Blazing Buffaloes and Celestial Night events that don't seem to have any similar event in XIV either. There is also the Adventure Appreciation Campaign but that may be covered by the Rising if its the anniversery event. All for new events though if they want to bring these and the Feast of Swords along though!

You make it seem like some social crusade when really it's not I get that people wanna show off their characters and you're fine to show them off I don't really care and i'm sure no one else does but your opinion is just very misinformed. If you actually just take a second to look this is just a game and the community takes this whole male vs female thing so seriously that honestly it's become a bit tiring which is why I said it's just pixels, I've played a male highlander before I just prefer my midlander female because it's just what I like not because I felt males were screwed out of anything.

It just sounds like to me you're being entitled about being a male character in an MMO where there are restrictions vs games like Aion for example which has unisex options, to which I agree FFXIV is a bit dated and confusing how we don't have unisex options, but it's not the end of the world. You stating your opinion is not a fact in this game either, everyone has one i'm stating mine it's not fact or anecdotal, that's what forums are here for to give your opinions/feedback so the devs can see, I like debates but yours just comes off as unneeded as we already have threads on why males don't have bunny suits, more glamour options for males and etc.

Again what I listed isn't facts it's the community talking about how males don't have x glamour when females have whatever glamour, not having a "Little Boys Event" doesn't mean they don't care about males people on the forums posted on here and it's taken off that males don't get attention.

I was male character for 2 years and I find guys in most game with almost everything just boring and dull , except heavy armor. Females are in my eyes more charming and are more THEN JUST CLEAVAGE.

I remember playing last year game with 4 guys on some roadtrip. What was the name again... FINAL FANTASY XV.

There are battles worth fighting over gender equality in this game but this isn't one of them. I did the first Little Lady's day after 2.0 and got the minion, while girls got the minion AND a special title. That was bull. Since then SE has given equal rewards for participating, regardless of which gender you play as, and that's fine with me.
