Better Hairstyles, Please

One directly related request and one tangential request:

(1) Please take hairstyles into account when designing gear. I finally decided to get rid of my preferred longer hairstyle because the clipping was so f***ing awful that it was ruling out ever displaying weapons while sheathed, and any outfits with hoods or larger collars were basically unusable.

(2) Tangential, but same general area of the character: I'd love a toggle option to display earrings on one or both ears, rather than just being locked to whatever the default is for that item.

I would find some nice looking male hairstyles right now, but unfortunately I gotta go somewhere first for the day before doing that. But if ya'll really want to see more hairstyles or anime spiky ones why not post a few that your interested in?

I'm tired of the unisex hairstyles. I want there to be different styles for males and females (just make sure they each get the same amount!). Character creation options are already low, and now both sexes have been sharing hairstyles for several patches. Just feels lazy.

I remember they use to give us 4 new hairstyles per patch. I think it was 2 new and 2 race specific unlocked or just 4 new ones. What happened?

3.1 actually had 8 (and a half, since the 9th just removed some bangs).

3.2 had 6.

3.3 had 4.

3.4 had 4 again.

3.5 had 2 + Sice I think? Since then it's been 2 per patch.

Mog station not counted (Like Thancreds/Ystholas/Aymerics hair). All of those were "new" - If you consider "ported from another FF game" new (Type-0 provided 10 of them). There's also contest winners, contest runner ups and whatnot in there.

It got less and less over time - But on the flipside, NPC exclusive stuff got more and more over time.

The last new hair updates have been similar. The short hairstyles are mostly copies of each other, the new long one is nice but the clipping is awful. I just want more curls and ponytails!

I was bitterly disappointed with the new hairstyles added in the latest patch. Both had a very androgynous/feminine slant to them and that appears to be the case more often than not ever since they decided to make every new hairstyle unisex.

I think it's time to maybe take a step back and focus on expanding customisation elsewhere. Give us new scars, tattoos, facial hair and makeup options.

There's plenty of ways to combat clipping and they just chose not to do it.

They keep claiming limitations as to why they can't do something, and its too hard for them to make things that don't clip....BUT THEN THEY ADD AN EFFIN NECK FAN TO THE FEMALE WHITE MAGE AF AT 70!!!!! I absolutely love that armor but can't wear it with any of the long hairstyles. They don't clip a little bit. They clip a lot! I don't know who thought it was a great idea to add it and have it clip so badly.

S/E already gave us a choice.
Player base made a decision on hairstyles over clipping.
