They probably won’t for privacy reasons. It’s the same reason that there wasn’t a Robin Williams tribute, a tribute for Yugiri’s former voice actress, or anyone else not fictional.

The Japanese game industry doesn’t like it. The only exception I’ve seen recently is The Lord of The Mountain on Mt. Satori in Breath of The Wild, tributes in Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, and in other Nintendo games. The only reason that happened was because Iwata was of great importance to the company. I think Japanese game developers only do tributes when they actually knew the person, or they feel intrusive. It’s not like In America where people pour out massive respects and prayer tributes. People in the east tend to value privacy. I think the only times that such massive displays of mourning are shown are when someone well known dies, or there is a national tragedy. The thing is, even so, they are still very private about it, and usually extend such condolences in a formal matter.

I don’t think a tribute will happen. It would only be likely if the family asked for it. Maybe if it was also in his will, but I doubt it. If it matters to you in the West, make your own tributes. Perhaps a virtual stage troupe could reinact the show?
