About Doma run: even fairly bad runs can be fun if you have a group that stays positive. Joking around and laughing about screw ups is really fun.

Hmm I did not know this was a thing because I've done weeping city dozens upon dozens of times.

I was in Alliance A as a SCH. Alliance C lost a healer during/after Forgall and they never got a replacement for the remainder of the run. Their healer happened to be dead for black hole on Ozma and I was sucked on over (not rewording) to Alliance C's party location for pads and atomos. I'm like woah wait wtf. I spent a solid six seconds wondering this. I healed them and raised their two dead people but I've never seen this happen before. Guess the raid auto collects a live healer to help a party with all dead ones.

Of course I comment on my surprise before the final boss was pulled and Alliance C's samurai commented "We needed you so stop complaining". I had to correct him and responded thusly:

    "How am I complaining?"
    "I was surprised"
"Or is being surprised a bad thing?

Conversation kind of ended there but yeah. Apparently weeping had some kind of mechanic in place I've never seen before. Guess that's neat. Oh and a quarter of the raid walked out of puddles for mega death despite my advance warning to walk back in. Same old same old.

Then there was a 5-min discussion who will go for cannons. No one wanted to. Half of the raid was asking - who will go, another half complained that they wouldn't do that.
After about 6 min into this discussion, I logged off and went back to Belias.
    Weird experience, I'd say.
That's amazing. They could have it done by then.

I hate when people pull that "I'm gonna put off rolling for as long as possible so others leave" crud in omega. If I notice someone doing that, I don't care if I already passed the drops or not, I will sit my butt down by the exit and start counting names on the roll list. You show up, you fight, you roll, you leave. If that's too hard then get the crafted gear or make a preformed that agrees to get everyone a drop. Jeez.

Yeah, thats pretty annoying. If im only doing the run for the clear instead of the gear, i go straight for the exit and leave before most of the group has had a chance to roll. But if i wanted anything that dropped, im staying the entire countdown and their delay will accomplish nothing. I dont care if i rolled a 1, im sitting there and waiting(the rest of the group may have passed on the one i want, and maybe the one causing the delay wont hit the button fast enough at the last second - ive still got a shot!). I can get up and do something else for 5 mins if need be. I can go to the bathroom, get a snack/drink, or whatever else i may think of.

Ah ok. I trust you, but just to be sure, how did you measure that you were outdpsing everyone?

A dragoon spoiled me in rab just now the whole raid. You know what's odd.. I'm just guessing the eye/line they do to connect you to them is a DPS buff. Is that true? I figure if they keep using it on you you must be doing a good job. It was kool for the raid I had a dragoon buff GF I know her name but I don't know if it's against the rules to mention her... but if you're reading this you know who you are. You sexy fem roe.

-Definitwly find myself usinh with melees rather than ranged rather than casters due to the limited range of the skill

    - Because of this, most parties I was in where I had a co-rdps, I usually slapped it on tank.

    - I rarely had ACT open for 24man so I just slapped it on whoever seemed to be doing well AND was close to me.

I see your main is monk so your drg bff might have used it on you cause you two dpsed closely together

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

This is more of a general comment about duties. Leveling up, I found dungeons to be a bit long but fun because the group made it fun. People talked and you could make mistakes and it was no big deal.

But now, doing 50+ dungeons and trials, the tone has definitely shifted. Now, it's like any other MMO. No one talks even if you say "Hiya" and if you make a mistake, people are much less forgiving. I'm actually fine with no one talking and just wanting to get it done. And I still find that if you say you're new to the dungeon, people are cool. It's just that the tone is WAY different now then it was when I was lowbie.

Fun Fact #1 from 70 Roulette: When you outDPS a NIN in 330~340 gear on WHM, and the NIN tells you to “stop DPSing, learn how to heal” and then calls you a shit mentor.

Fun Fact #2: When the SMN in 290 artifact gear nearly outDPSes the NIN in 330~340 gear.

Fun Fact #3: When the healer is top DPS in your 70 Roulette.

Fun Fact #4: When the NIN was also a mentor...but doesn’t know what AOE skills are.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
