New game engine question

Off course it does reduce the fan noise, because limiting the framerate greatly lower your GPU charge. What's the point however of buying a high end graphic card if you end up limiting the framerate?

30 fps are fluent to the human eye, everything above it is vanity.

107c is indeed rather dangerous territory, I'd check if the cooling fan is even functioning at that point, or if the whole thing is clogged up beyond believe, or if the heatsink is even making proper contact w/ the GPU.

It's not uncommon on laptops, my old laptop gets into the same temp region pretty fast and I cleaned my fans and am using a good cooling pad (well, my brother is, cause i gave it to him). That's one of the reasons why I absolutely hate gaming laptops, not only do they get hot as hell, shortening their lifespan, they also suck performance-wise.

most likely they'll be using it since they used it before and it basicly one of the best engine out there & they dont have time to make one from scratch again and guess if its going to work.

Actually YoshiP mentioned they're using some people who work on luminous to make the engine for FFXIV in one of the interviews, so FFXIV will use a modified luminous engine imho.

You really must go see a doctor if you are unable to make a difference between something running at 30 and 60 fps...

Just google and learn, I'm too lazy to make a speech regarding that. Any normal human being can make a difference between something running at 30 and 60fps.
