This is what i mean! I would love an arc like this, and getting to fight our allies via raid, or dungeon or even trial would be amazingHistory is written by the victors.
However I think a storyline where the people who feel threatened by the alignment of the WoL with their opposition decide that they'll manipulate public opinion AGAINST us and turn former allies into enemies we have to fight (imagine a dungeon with each boss being a City Leader, Raubahn extreme for real!) would be real neato. People like us because we're doing what they think is good and the cost doesn't affect them directly. This is pretty much what happens to the WoD, in their world they're the heroes. If we're ever shown to be what equates to a mindless nuclear weapon, I'm sure we would have some bad days ahead of us.

If that happened, our WoL would feel betrayed, and just like his Ascian brethren he might wanna take revenge, he'll probably be all like "Our WoL: Emet-Selch and Elidibus were right...These malformed creatures are undeserving of my care love or praise or my protection, they turn their back on the one who saved them for fear of my power, they don't desserve to inherit this world, and as the last remaining of my brethren i must end these lying humans, thus like like my brothers before me i shall go about and carry out their wish and complete the rejoining by summoning "Lord Zodiark" just like how Elidibus and Emet-Selch and the others wanted to do, i shall end this...I shall end it all with the power i have and once again turn this world how it should have been like long ago before the calamity...Forgive me Hydalyn...I must disappoint you...Once everything is done and over with i will bring back my people, for the convocation...For i am Azem 14th seat of the convocation of 14, and thus i shall not give these malformed creatures any quarter!...."And thus the true calamity starts. "Our WoL: Worry not my brothers...I will bring you all back and take revenge for you all for these malformed creatures in tricking me to put you all down!...I shall never forgive them for making me kill you my brothers and i shall see our paradise lost restored!..." A lot of scaryness would ensue from this And the true chaos would start. O ___ O; if the people who our WoL trusted turned their back on us and betray us.

that definitely wouldn't be my wols response considering he sees all ascians as unrepentent monsters (not the ancients, the ascians). at best hed just abandon them and travel to perfect his omnicraft skills. They just HAD to spread their adoration of the Ascians and declaration that they're 'brethren' wherever they found to say it!
Frankly I'm VERY confused they found this thread for it. I don't even know what search method and terms they used to get here that wouldn't have put them somewhere more recent first.

WHO did we kill? It's not always obvious to me thanks to "somehow she survived and lost all her memory" and rezzing Zenos, aswell as... folks we just "beat"... i mean did we kill that annoying guy at the end of the doma castle dungeon or not?
Will put you on ignore if you can't form a logical argument but argue nonetheless

Off the top of my head, named characters, MSQ (and CT since it's required) only?
-Rhitahtyn sas Arvina
-Livia sas Junius
-Crystal Tower denizens (Acheron, Scylla, Phlegethon, Amon Clone, Xande)
-Tioman
-Igeyorhm
-Archbishop Thordan VII and the Heavens' Ward (13 total)
-Nidhogg
-Grynewaht pyr Arvina
-Aulus mal Asina
-Yotsuyu goe Brutus (as Tsukuyomi)
-Ran'jit
-Vauthry / Innocence
-Emet-Selch / Hades
-Elidibus / Themis(?)
-Amon (Aitiascope)
-Endsinger (constituted of all but one of the Meteia)
-Zenos viator Galvus
So around 33 people, not counting the scores of tribals and Imperial (and a few Ishgardian and Eulmoran) soldiers even if you run dungeons only once and ignore overworld stuff like the Trials of the Braves for the 2.X Relic Weapons.
Trpimir Ratyasch's Way Status (7.3 - End)
[ ]LOST [ ]NOT LOST [X]TRAUNT!
"There is no hope in stubbornly clinging to the past. It is our duty to face the future and march onward, not retreat inward." -Sovetsky Soyuz, Azur Lane: Snowrealm Peregrination

Every starting questline also has one named-character kill; Gridania has Janremi Blackheart, Ul'Dah has Garibald the Fargone, Limsa has Baenryss of the Deep. All three are confirmed dead thanks to PotD, which also confirms that those guys got killed by someone else even if we weren't there.Off the top of my head, named characters, MSQ (and CT since it's required) only?

Once we get into vagueries and unnameds, there's a scant few times when certain job questlines/starting cities have slightly more blood on their hands where it is confirmed deaths, and (for the 'but the WoL is baaaaaaad' crowd) includes actual non-aggravated murders. If you wanted to determine the potential WoL with the highest bodycount, then the bloodiest WoL start is probably Lancer, thanks to Gridania WoL killing three qiqirn as vengeance for a threat, and being plausibly charged with the death of Foulques of the Mists (granted, he attacked first). If you wanted to then branch into exactly one post-launch job, our bloodiest Theoretical WoL is actually a Lancer/Dragoon-turned-Dark Knight; 30-50 DRK has quite a bodycount, thanks to Fray.
I'm not sure what my point is here. Maybe it's that people who pick DRK and then say that the WoL is a killer/bad person have completed a self-fulfilling prophecy?
