Zenos and Nidhogg. I love frustrating villians like them that make me hate their guts in story but adore them in real life for it! They were both iust too cool! ^^

Most of the villains in XIV have been weak imo vs other villains in the franchise or other franchises. I was expecting Zenos to (potentially) be a Luca Blight kind of character; but nope, didn't happen.
If you say so.
Zenos will most certainly make a comeback.I also have a theory about this.Zenos will ascend in the story at some point and become the one winged angel (Aka Sephiroth)
Reason i suspect this is that ff7 is too big to have him as a themed boss in the Omega series which is only side story content and at some stage in Final Fantasy 14 there will be a push to promote the final fantasy 7 remake around the time of a release date being announced.

Opinions, as the same could have been said for FFVI.ff7 is too big to have him as a themed boss
Didn't Nael van Darnus already play the 'Sephiroth' role in 1.0? Began the Meteor project, succeeded in drawing Dalamud closer to Eorzea (having the "moon" in the sky much like how Meteor was in the sky at the end of VII) and even had a 'walk through the (blue) flames' cutsecne. I can't really see Zenos (assuming it even is Zenos) being a one winged angel guy.
Yeah but FF7 is the highest selling game of all time in the ff franchise.6 although it sold very well is the 4th highest selling game in the franchise.
And at some stage they will have something in ff14 to promote to FF7 remake.
Wouldn't Zenos also have any Shinryu's powers still? I'd imagine him more of becoming what happened to Nidhogg than Sepiroth but wouldn't mind that happening. Zenos is the only person in the entirety of FFXIV to kick the Warrior of Light's butt twice without breaking sweat just like Seprioth has often done in FFVII. I just love how nonchalant and casual both characters are when doing that. XD

But again, I don't think we're looking at the real Zenos any more, since he technically did off himself.
Instead, it's Elidibus possessing his corpse (he did say "the sight may bring you comfort" to Varis, which shocked and outraged him).
Gaius cause he was really better than others. In 1.0 he was perfect. Why ? Cause, yes he is our enemy, but ready to do an (optional) alliance with us to get what he want. And I love when a link is created between hero and villain, that makes the story far better. Though, I found they destroyed that image of him in 2.0. Even if he was great, I found him different.
He was much more interesting in 1.0... when he comes alone to face us, like 4 times (A future perfect, Alive, Don't hate the messenger, Living on a prayer). Yeah Zenos beats us, but first it was Gaius (look the cs a Future perfect).
The second one, Regula van Hydrus. Why ? He is loyal to his Emperor and country till the end. And even if he calls us savages, he doesn't cheat (Echo, Arma, Primals...) and just uses his own skills. And most of all, he is the ONLY ONE who moved to save OUR friend, Unukalhai when ourself, our friends (scions) didn't move any fingers (and for that I just hate them...).

I liked Nidhogg because I kinda could understand his pain. He lost his sister and it still hurt and on top of that his children where slaughtered too. Yet at the same time I also understood the reason for killing him because he would just never stop and the people today could not be punished for something their anchestors did. I also liked how he was himself till the very end and not just get a random redemption arc..
I also liked Thordan. Again I could kinda understand his reasoning since he knew that their anchestors were wrong but that Nidhogg would never stop and on top of that if they would say the truth to the people this could have been their end. I mean I am all for telling the truth to let people decide for themselves but lets be realistic..without the WoL and the other dragons there..Isghard would have been doomed because they would have had fights between themselves and with Nidhogg. Also I loved how he was able to outplay Lahabrea.
I am not really sure about Zenos. Its refreshing to have a character that does these things out of depression or boredom but I also like villians that have reaons for doing things. (If they dont get sudden redemptions for bad pasts..) So yeah I am kinda fine with such a character from time to time but I do prefer Thordan to him.
From Garlemald I did like Regula the most, since he was still rutheless but at the same time willing to work with us. Sad that such a character was offed so fast. Gaius is not someone I truly like..he would have had no problems of releasing the Ultima weapon onto a whole country and on top of that he horribly brainwashed young children..he might have had some arguments but in the end he only saw Eorzea as another country for Garlemald.

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
