Wish they gave more notice. Didn't even have a chance to request the day off. Now I have to hope I can sneak home during my lunch break and hope the servers don't come up too early.

I will say as I was looking through wards, it was annoying seeing one FC broken into smaller FCs owning several houses. Just shows a severe lack of ethics, imo.

I don't expect anyone to be appeased I expect anyone who actually wants a house to be willing to settle for a small and keep an eye out for things larger. I waited up on Christmas for a chance at a small and have slowly climbed from there. Would it be nice if they fixed the system sure but saying a small isn't worth your time and effort? Fine. Wait for expanded appartments then or start crystal camping and hope one gets demoed.

Also, not all servers. Coeurl still has almost half of its new mediums available.

Wait, what? Have slowly climbed from there? Did you just try to make taking advantage of personal housing relocations being allowed under the ongoing moratorium seem like a lot of effort? Getting any plot, even a small one, outside of the brief window when new wards are added is quite an achievement, I'll give you that. It requires determination, but at the end of the day it's mostly down to luck (unless you decided to feed a plot flipper, but I doubt it). However, unless you had access to some inside knowledge from the dev team and knew around Christmas what the rest of us learned during the LL on 19.01 and consequently planned all your moves ahead of time in accordance with that knowledge then the fact that you managed to get a better plot when 4.2 landed was a matter of pure luck, again. One the next batch of plot owners isn't even guaranteed to have, because SE might as well block relocations too next time a moratorium comes around, since there has been a fairly substantial number of complaints about that too already.

I'm starting to wonder how the hell did we get here as a playerbase. To the point where people are starting to adopt the mindset according to which it's better to accept that a system is inherently broken and be grateful that it even exists rather than to complain and demand that devs start fixing the mess they let fester for more than 3 years. Not to mention getting upset that other people are unhappy with the mess in question.

I'm going to be happy if I get my small in Mist. That, plus my FC room, is plenty for me.

Christmas...when they first put in the demo timer, that was when I got my small. I got my original medium in mist when they previously added new wards back in...3.3 I think. I did relocate during the moratorium for the simple reason that my friends were no longer my neighbors so I decided to shift for closer MB access. I worked hard to get my first small and original medium.

I believe we should have a better housing system (like instanced housing or maybe dynamic wards) however SOMETHING is always better than nothing. So it leaves me puzzled why people would refuse a small house for being small.

I'm going to get my small, and thats enough. I like small houses because you need to be more creative to make them good. Its gonna be a lot of fun trying to make it look great!

I mean mostly smalls are left, that's all I saw. Granted, I didn't check all the wards. That's all I can afford though so it's fine. My strategy is going to get something in the Goblet and move later.

Since all hope of getting a Mist medium went out the window as soon as they announced when housing would open to personal(Seriously, there were a good 10 still open, and as soon as that post came out, they all vanished. Goblet was the only housing area with any left last I looked), I'm just going to settle for two smalls if my fiance and I can snag them. Maybe upgrade later if a medium in the ward we're going with opens up.

My goal is a beachfront house in The Mist (small). If not, I'll grab another and just wait until I can relocate. If I'm lucky, I'll have enough for a medium by then.

Make sure you take the day off work and school and sit there on your computer or console and spam that button. Probably in less than 10min, everything will be gone.
