I'm a little bitter that we still don't have the ability to fly on the ARR Primal mounts...but things like the turtle and elephant mount can fly...

At least the turtle they put in the effort to make it *look* like it could fly. All these SB just swim in the sky. Lazy. Absolutely Lazy. If a turtle they animated to look like it can maybe fly is immersion breaking then no effort at all is criminal.

with how afraid FFxiv is of getting sued (look at Perform), they probably avoided any likeness whatsoever to the elephant you're referring to.

or maybe they are waiting until KH3 comes out to have a cross promotion with a Dumbo mount.

I agree with that. At least make it look like it can fly somehow and not just have it walk on nothing. And the carpet being the reason is just bad too since it does not even do something..And I am also still not sure why our ponies cant fly...I mean now the war horses are able to fly but not the primal ones? Those are at least full of primal aether..

Edit: Finally got my elephant...well I had to laugh a bit after seeing it flying..it looks just so bad, especially when it stops running and just glide through the sky. Can we at least have a bit more work done for such mounts? Maybe some better animations? Or have the carpet fly under its feet, that at least would be funny in a good way.
