Pls give us larger Appartments

While they said they would think of making larger apartments, they do not want to eliminate the appeal of housing. Apartments will never be the size of a small house, but they may just add a slightly larger space and perhaps a balcony area for the increase of size. Getting hopes up for apartments to be like houses, especially Mansions, is just going to make you disappointed.

Make a rooftop penthouse for people to do gardening or outdoor furnishing of their own please. Thanks.

Also allow them to change the outdoor appearance to their liking (ie Shirogane plot 30 style zone, or Mist plot 5 zone or Shirogane plot 16 zone etc)

I support apartments of varying sizes. Honestly I think they can easily be the solution to our housing crisis. What we have now is efficiency sized, from there you could upgrade to studio (cottage sized), condo (medium sized), and penthouse (mansion sized). Make these appropriately expensive steps. Give folks the option to have a 'patio' that has heavily frosted glass (no need to see the housing ward beyond) that allows gardening and outdoor decorations. At that point it would just be working with the layout since usually only condos and penthouses are multi-tiered. Could easily be done and workable though.

I was hoping for expanded apartments to be small (current size), medium (about the size of a small house), and large (about the size of a medium house). I honestly expect the price for upgrading an apt to be pretty close to buying whichever size house you'd get. Example, upgrading from small apartment to medium would be like 2-3 million gil (since a small house costs 3-3.75 million gil), then upgrading from a medium to a large apartment would be an additional 12-15 million gil (since a medium house ranges from 16-20 million gil and you would have already put about 3 million into upgrading to a medium apartment).

With a small house basically being two apartments, I don't see how they could possibly expand apartments and not exceed the size of a small house. I honestly hope they don't make apartments upgradable to mansion size, but I think wanting them to stay smaller than houses is kind of silly, especially since it could be about the same cost as a house.

That still all takes the appeal away from houses below Large. Why bother when you can just upgrade an apartment and don't even have to risk demolishing? If they also add the garden areas people keep asking for too... They don't want to take away from the actual plots, they don't want apartments to be more than a small house. That's why they may add a medium which has a balcony and slightly increased size, and maybe a large which has it's own built in loft area while slightly larger again. Wanting anything more than this for apartments is just setting yourself up for a fall really.

They will keep adding wards over time when they can, and more and more people will get their chance at plots. Just have to keep trying.

I think that if anything it would be good to take away the appeal of housing because they have shown that they cannot keep up with the demand of it. Let fcs have the housing, let individuals have a worthwhile space for decorating. There should be no reason apartments can't be as big as the houses, even mansion sized, especially if someone has the money to put into it.

Houses will always have appeal because of the features a house can provide that apartments don't.

Yoshi P already said apartments will never have an outdoor area because of how they're programmed. That means anyone who wants to intercross would need a house. FCs would also continue to be limited to houses.

Mansion sized interiors for apartments are a real possibility if it gets more players using apartments and reduces the need for new wards.

I thought the appeal behind the wards was to have a neighborhood effect. Otherwise they could just go to instanced based housing. Apartments are a subset of that and it would be nice to be able to get a bigger house. They need to do something about housing and maintaining this ward system where people always want to upgrade is not enough.
