Your thoughts on the Nightsteel weapons?

Without the Glow, most of the weapons look rather dull to be honest.

And if you think into the future of possible Anima Weapon "rip offs"; can you imagine how awful some of those glow-less weapons will look? For example, the WHM Anima weapon sprouts green wings when unsheathed...but without that elaborate glow...it's pretty boring.

This, pretty much. I completed four Zeta weapons, but this doesn't bother me since the crafted ones don't have the glow, which is what I like about the Zeta weapons.
