Yes, because these two groups are the same people, and these two arguments should be treated with identical levels of care.

Sure, though. They don't have to do anything. They could just not release content ever again and increase the sub cost to, I don't know, $150 a week. They don't, though, because typically you want more business rather than less, and happy customers rather than mad ones. The same logic applies quite easily to exorbitant pricing. This is really not hard to understand.

I still find it hard to believe that pricing things this high works out to a better overall profit than selling them at a cheaper price to more people.

I wanted to get the Eastern Togi item until I realised it was AU$15 at the special sale price, and only for one character.

I could maybe justify spending half that price, and if it was account-wide I could then maybe justify that I'm getting "two items for $7.50 each" for my two female characters. But as it is? No way, not spending that much for a single digital item that I'll only equip occasionally.


The only other game I've played with "lots of costumes in-game, and more in the cash shop" is LittleBigPlanet, and I think their costumes were something like $3.50 each? I mostly used in-game items but I bought a few as well, usually because I just wanted one piece out of the costume, and wouldn't think anything of it.

It does make sense for them to charge a bit more here, since they'd need to adjust the costumes for the different character shapes, but surely it doesn't make *that* much of a difference to the workload.

I expected no more than $12 given that's what they listed the Moogle outfit as. Can't say they haven't gotten greedy with this outfit. Personally, I think they should have done a bundle outfit + mount for the current price (maybe bump it to $20) and sold them separately for $10-12.

Since I was unable to take part in the promotion, I was really looking forward to getting the dress and the butler outfit for my alts. The price means they'll have to do without.

I can't help feeling slightly resentful that the U.S. promotion was done through Amazon while the E.U. didn't get the promotion in all areas, and even in areas that were covered, people had no choice over what they bought.

Considering the original promotion excluded so many people, I expected the Mog-shop pricing to be more reasonable. I'm very disappointed.

Promo's always end up costing out the ass.

It's done so those who got the promo arn't pissed off as well.

Also SE corp is prob leaning on the mog station a bit to make a bit of extra cash with them shelling out for XV

Could be worse, I guess. Could take Gumi's decision to get high as a kite and trying to extort (US)$45.99 for a certain time limited summon banner recently added on Final Fantasy Brave Exvius as a wonderful idea and grossly overprice the original fat chocobo or Ifrit and Titan masks if they put those in there too.
