I was hoping for a real AH and the day when we can say goodbye to our useless zombies. Seems like the only story cutscenes will be in the mog battle which means that all the other quests will be leves given by the NPCs.

At this point I think we have enough trash-quests and NMs. I see no reason why we have to wait until 2.0 until they start doing more fleshed out quest-lines(with proper story)? I understand that they'd have to be pretty town based because the map will have more variety in the future but still.

Yup lets have them work hard on quest that few will do so they can toss them out the window, bad enough they are already working on stuff they have to throw away when 2.0 hits.

Seems like people will cry about everything in these forums, after reading a comment in the Zelda forums how this guy would not buy the game cause link is right handed made me facepalm and realize that most ppl on the net = fail.

Since grinding classes is prolly the only "productive" thing to do that will benefit your character in 2.0, I'm glad they're making some changes to how crafting xp is distributed.

The little content added through patches and the experimentation of new skills/combos are fun things to do while we wait, but any efforts to get better gear, materia or min/maxing is worthless.

I saw that movie last night, I agree it is a good example. It was fantastic, I did think it relied very heavily on traditional elements with small inclusions of new modern standards, humour, etc. PS Not Enough Rizzo in that movie at all, and why do I not recall the big blue Muppet?

My comment was just a response to the verbal stamping of the foot, "that's just the ways things have been, and that's just how they should always be."

That being said, I'd like to know how the story will progress with us getting a tamed monster to ride. Chocobos have always been in Final Fantasy so they don't have to spend much time, if any, explaining them away. Any new mounts will need to have some type of back story.
I think the comment made prior was in respect to tradition, and not a simple blanket statement. In fact, I am fine with other mounts or forms of transportation, as they have served a purpose in many other FF games. Examples would be the Gargant(IX), the Car(VIII), the mini airships of XIII, Shoopuf(X), Canoe(various), Tiny Bronco(VII), etc.

You'll notice one thing about these other forms of transport though. None of them really overlap, and have a specific purpose. This makes each one unique. Will this Gobbue carry a unique purpose I wonder? As you said, each new type of mount/transport has reason to fit into the world it was created for. Such is the beauty of an FF game.

Also, ich kann euch sagen, hier steppt die Goobbue schon ordentlich durch unser Büro!

Ya his name was Thog (http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Thog). I barely recall him myself he is not as memorable and frequent as the other "full-bodied" Muppet he's seen with in the movie and a few times on the original show by the name of Sweetums (the other giant one with the big mouth and nose). Sweetums I recognized instantly.

Sweetums I totally know. Camilla and the Chickens put me in tears btw with their rendition of a rather modern song.

Gobbue running through offices would be awesome to see.
