Assuming parser would magically improve majority of the underperforming players dps. lol
It would not change anything, but improve the communication between party members, so people will spend more time complaining about other people dps, because why not.
Ofc im talking here about recount type of parser, but the only-myself type of parser is not good either.
God forbid healers and tanks trying to be full time dpsers, this game will die and the balance around it when tanks will drop def stance and yolo trough working as melee dps. Why should i care about eminity wtf is this, if they die its on them hehehe.
You are exaggerating it madly.Man who dug this up?
At this point, I don't bloody care anymore. If people want to arbitrarily think console players are handicapped and clueless victims of the platform they play on and the terrible, terrible lack of a helpful metering tool being a complete and utter wall to being able to improve at all, be my guest. It's neither the biggest, nor worst misconception this game's playerbase has, so bring it on.
Add it in so people clam up about it once and for all. Throw in a free male bunny glam too for good measure. Dyeable or mass hysteria.
You dont need a parser to know you should use the cd ability that deals damage as often as possible or want to keep up dmg buff or to use aoe abilities when hitting loads of enemies.
A few digits here and there would not tell me how to manage my blood and mana resources as DRK to pull out as much dps as it is virtually possible, the tool would need to be really advanced to tell me when to use delirium and when quietus to pull out as much mp so i could use it on DA and etc.
It will motivate players to try their best thats for sure to not perform worse than before, and thats why i hate ESO so much, because you are being pushed to the wall and the gun pointed at you if you are not doing 120% of yourself, thats silly. If you do less for some reason you are losing will to do anything anymore its double edge axe.
You will feel good when improving your numbers and then you will be totaly discouraged one day because you did way less than before.

You don't need a parser to complain about other peoples DPS. It's painfully clear when mobs die over this or that amount of time, when with other parties they die over this or that amount of time.
Many players don't utilize AoE's, and that is as obvious as it gets that someones DPS is bad when the tank makes large pulls. And even if you WILL see someone in the party complaining about that guy that instead of using AoE on a mob of 6-9 enemies just burns them individually, it is rarely in an offensive manner.
People just won't care in random parties all that much. There is no competition in this game, no rankings, no bosses with respawns that someone could steal from underneath your nose (eh...alright, hunts and FATE's fit this somewhat, but you can still get full credit provided you came on time). Making a wall of text complaint about someone having low DPS is going to waste more time than following through, and most people that DO have low DPS won't be able to change it mid-run anyway.
