2 targets, anymore and AD is going to be a better choice.

Phone edit: DP still isn't worth the mp. What'd make it worth while would be to either increase its base potency or decrease the mp cost.
^^^All this, I still don't understand the increased cost nerf in the first place. The amount of Dark powers we ever really use is the spam of Dark arts.
Dark passenger is never a gain due to the absurd amount of mp it cost with the value or anything in return becuase a skill has higher potency doesn't always mean it's better especially when quietus over shadows it in every way and you can get hp back with abysmal there is like zero reason to use the current DP...
it's not entirely correct... you will do more damage with dark arts + dark passenger and souleater combo in 3 gcds than using abyssal drain 3 times. and due to the mana reg of syphon strike you will even sit on more mana after the dark arts dark passenger compared to the 3 abyssal drains (when you are in tankstance, of course, or using blood weapon).Dark passenger is never a gain due to the absurd amount of mp it cost with the value or anything in return becuase a skill has higher potency doesn't always mean it's better especially when quietus over shadows it in every way and you can get hp back with abysmal there is like zero reason to use the current DP...
also dark passenger is more powerfull than the dark arts effect of quietus. okay, i basically never use dark arts on quietus. but when you are in the mood to burn mana on that - use dark passenger instead.

DP is "worth it" for the DPS and less Mp consumption than AD.
It's "not worth it" for the threat.
2 GCDs
AD > AD = 240 potency (240x) -2640mp
vs
HS > DA+DP > SS = 640 potency (240x + 400) -1320mp(grit) or -2520(no grit)
If you do 3 GCD
3rd GCD is another AD.
vs
3rd GCD is AD.
Every GCD after the 2nd is AD, meaning the damage difference never changes.
The only difference is that AD offers threat, DP doesnt, it adds blind and more dps to 1 single target/saves mp
The problem lies in the fact DP is such a minimal increase, AND the fact there is NEVER a reason to not DA it. Where as some DRK abilities have decent reasons to not DA them. Such as CnS where you use the MP for AoE scenarios.
(Personally Id make it a single target attack, and replace blind with -5% dmg dealt, like reprisal. DA would then make it an AoE, giving us the 1st AoE version of reprisal in the game.)

Why not just eliminate the MP cost but keep the 30sec CD on DP and leave it otherwise alone? Would be a net gain all around, even more so using a DA with it, and give a DA slot usable before you throw in syphon strike. Also would be a OGCD net dps gain as both MT and OT.

Dreams should be allowed to fly as free as the birds in the sky.
For me, it should have been that way right from the start. The initial concept of skills was that each of them had one cost.
- Weapon Skills cost only TP
- Spells cost only MP
- Abilities cost only time (In the form of CD)
So, for Dark Passenger having both a cooldown and an MP cost is, by itself, a handicap for DRK.
3 or 4 patches to go until 5.0~
Yeah a few skills cost 2 resources on DRK for some reason. See Dark Passenger, Delirium, TBN. Don't really understand it.For me, it should have been that way right from the start. The initial concept of skills was that each of them had one cost.
