Unbelievable. That person is just... sad. I really hope he didn't get to report you, as it would be extremely unfair for you to get called out by the GMs. The guy was clearly provoking you, it was a natural reaction. I would have stepped up for you in that situation, as I don't have much tolerance for people like that.

Reminds me of the time I was in World of Darkness, the tank was new and I was giving him advice on how to pull things, since they wouldn't turn their tank stance off. Apparently they were with 2 more friends. I was being nice and used a couple of emotes after we killed the boss, which apparently were taken as "condescending", so they initiated a vote kick on me. I can tell because one of my friends was with me. The rest of the group didn't understand what was going on, as they voted "no" (4 vs 3) because there was no reason to kick me. I was giving the tank some guidance. This person and their friends called me out saying "I shouldn't be an a****" and inmediatly left.

I don't know why I keep helping people in this game sometimes. Of course, nowdays... you can be sure that I don't do it anymore, unless they ask for advice which rarely happens. People take offense to almost everything.

So me and three friends beat Fractal Hard without a tank. WHM, NIN, NIN, SMN. That was rather interesting, me as NIN and the other NIN took turns "tanking". Didn't think it was possible.

I appreciate all the kind words surrounding my LotA horror story <3

Now guys don't get triggered by that heart emoji and accuse me of begging for comms/attention please >.>

But in all seriousness thank you guys. I knew I wasn't in the wrong but everyone (but those healers apparently) appreciates validation. I do think it's funny that they essentially handed me commendations by behaving as they did - I am not a good enough RDM to stand out to 4 people in an 8man party on my performance alone. Sass on the other hand... thanks to those healers for giving me an opportunity to shine.

I didn't wanna go as healer but my RDM isn't geared enough for it yet, and since everybody says how fun that fight is...well it was ugly. Even though I had watched a guide, I still died a bunch of times. There also were other new people (we all arned we were new at the start) so ofc the fight wasn't smooth. First death, the other healer calls me idiot. Ok..At the end of the fight same healer says "You're welcome for the carry" and "never do extreme" after somebody else says "lol I wanna see how you guys do with extreme". Yes, I had trouble staying alive, ressing people, healing almost dying people, but I'd hardly call it a carry, everybody pulled their weight (and I think I healed more than her too). Why all the saltiness? Not only I didn't find it easy as people say, I found it harder than any other HM primal, probably because half of the group or more was new to it..and I find it superhard dodging the balls while you're in the tornado thing. Anyway, it all was ugly enough to put me off ever redoing that fight again.
Im sorry you had this bad experience. I would tell you not to give up on the fight as it really is fairly easy and fun, but i understand that this is my opinion. In my experience, the very best groups for story mode content like this are the ones in the first day or two after the patch. I especially enjoy going in blind with a group that doesnt know any of the mechanics on patch day. No one knows what to expect so no one can get really mad at anyone else for messing up(provided everyone is playing their class decently), and if the fight is tough enough then you get to discuss tactics and figure things out. Those can be really satisfying groups, and ive made in-game friends on several patch days when i happened to get randomly matched to people on my own server. A specific tip, when youre falling in the tornado its easier to dodge the balls if you adjust your camera to above you looking down. But the healer you got matched with just sounds like a jerk. When people announce that theyre new to a fight, you should know better then to expect perfect play. And "never do extreme" is beyond stupid to say, because people can get better and more comfortable with a fight. And you yourself didnt want to go as healer, its just what you had geared at the time.

In conclusion, pay that guy no mind. He a jerk. And dont be afraid to run something again because of one bad experience.

Omg, up until the last part where the tank told you all to die, I thought maybe this was the group I ran with in Hells Lid last night. Tank said he was new to the dungeon but still pulled wall to wall anyway. I'm pretty sure he and the healer came together (you'll see why). At one point, the tank pulled That One Snake mob, lost aggro after I put my DoTs on it, but kept continuing forward without me. So I'm getting my shit kicked in, tank realizes he didn't grab everything, but on the way back he dies, then I die, everyone dies.

Both him and the healer blame me for that wipe because I grabbed aggro. Yeah no, if you can't hold hate from me just putting two DoTs on it AND you neglect to check if you grabbed everything, it's not me-- it's your tanking job, bro.

I would have gone sooner but I didn't meet the requirements for a bit, even on main class, so I had to gear up first. Sadly DF has plenty of jerks, especially on trials, who have no patience. Is that one even on roulette? Because otherwise I see no reason for people with no patience for newbies to run that, it's surely not for rewards.

I was the healer so it couldn't have been the same regardless, this guy had luckily nobody on his side, also was no newbie, he only started talking to throw curses. I'm sorry you had a similar experience though.

I quit using Raise macros after someone in a bad party got triggered over my macro, which at the time was "/p {Raise} -> <t>". I was like, yep, never again. Wasn't even spamming it either. Both me and the co-healer were using one so we could avoid double-raises. If that triggers them, something's not quite right. Even if the co-healer asks now I tell them sorry, someone got triggered over my use of a simple one, so I won't.

Sorry you had to go through that. I've been in situations where people have gotten triggered over complements several times. I just report them and move on in hopes that something actually gets done, though I know it probably won't. Its right up there with the people who get triggered over a simple "Hello" at the start of a duty. I've gotten to where I just leave those duties immediately, and use the penalty time to report them while I go craft/gather.

It hadn't been a particularly chatty run. During the Atmos fight A seemed to be struggling and I said in Alliance "You okay A?" right as they killed their add. Jokes were made, someone from A (I think) said "Moro is Canadian!" which I lolled at because Tridus would certainly giggle at the mere thought.

The healers were a pair from Jenova with the same last name. They doted on each other at the start of the instance. They also seemed to have some struggles, I was manashifting the WHM pretty consistantly. She liked Medica II even when it was already ticking. After they pulled us out of a potentially bad spot I said "Nice healing guys! <3" in party chat and that's where our story picks up...

I'm not the best at editing/cropping these things. I cropped out a bit of text but with context you can more or less get the gist of it. I also blocked out when I said the f word because profanity filters wont work on an image. The one healer is red, the other is blue and the yellow is innocent bystanders in the party. Also I know I used 2 different reds, as I said I'm not the best at this >.>

At the end of the day I got 4 commends as a dps in a 24man which isn't bad, not that I have any use for more commends but still. I guess I just wanted to say like... Why so bitter? There are certainly times on these forums that I've been... ahem... abrupt enough to warrant some harsh words in return but if this is what I get for trying to be nice to what I imagined were just new, struggling players... Why?

I dunno. I was mad enough to write all this, I suppose I shouldn't have give them that much time. Let's see if that report comes through though, god knows I've got chat logs to defend myself. Lol.

Bard was running in and out on the yellow spots in Aurum Vale, killing himself and a healer trying to heal him from that, when i was like on 30% hp.
Got wiped several times, the run took 40 minutes...
