I just had the worst LotA run I've ever had and there weren't even any wipes. I'll let the chat logs speak for themselves and just preface with a few things.

It hadn't been a particularly chatty run. During the Atmos fight A seemed to be struggling and I said in Alliance "You okay A?" right as they killed their add. Jokes were made, someone from A (I think) said "Moro is Canadian!" which I lolled at because Tridus would certainly giggle at the mere thought.

The healers were a pair from Jenova with the same last name. They doted on each other at the start of the instance. They also seemed to have some struggles, I was manashifting the WHM pretty consistantly. She liked Medica II even when it was already ticking. After they pulled us out of a potentially bad spot I said "Nice healing guys! <3" in party chat and that's where our story picks up...

I'm not the best at editing/cropping these things. I cropped out a bit of text but with context you can more or less get the gist of it. I also blocked out when I said the f word because profanity filters wont work on an image. The one healer is red, the other is blue and the yellow is innocent bystanders in the party. Also I know I used 2 different reds, as I said I'm not the best at this >.>





At the end of the day I got 4 commends as a dps in a 24man which isn't bad, not that I have any use for more commends but still. I guess I just wanted to say like... Why so bitter? There are certainly times on these forums that I've been... ahem... abrupt enough to warrant some harsh words in return but if this is what I get for trying to be nice to what I imagined were just new, struggling players... Why?

I dunno. I was mad enough to write all this, I suppose I shouldn't have give them that much time. Let's see if that report comes through though, god knows I've got chat logs to defend myself. Lol.

Wow...... I'm sorry you went through that o.O. It always seems to be 24 man raids.... Any time I've ever seen a huge argument or super cancerous people, it's always in the 24 man raids. Don't know what it is about them, but it seems to bring out the worst in people.

I'm the same way. I'm generally super nice in chat unless I'm particularly pissed off by something. I haven't yet run into anyone annoyed by it, but I have had a few people be confused (like I sometimes say "gj everyone" after a boss if I feel we did particularly well and some people find that weird).

It's actually kind of hilarious though. Them turning into assholes and you defending yourself probably granted you more comms than if they had just left you alone.

Gods above, please help me because I feel like reaching through the net and smacking a bard in the face. So, leveling Monk and in Siren Song Sea. Party setup is Warrior, Scholar, Monk (me) and Bard. Tank is doing double pulls, which is going okay, but kinda slow. Now, I know my Monk isn't outfitted in full shire, but this was still taking painfully long. I notice the Bard's TP bar is hardly budging. Meanwhile the Tank and I are starting to bottom out, but I've got Goad to keep the Warrior happy.

But this Bard... This tunnel visioned Hero never once used Tactician. Only AoE they pulled out was Rain of Death, while not having DoTs on enemies. Not a single QN came from this bard. You have AoE, why do you not use iiiiiiiitttt! We wiped on that large pull right after the second boss because Brd wasn't helping with AoE and the Scholar was using Psysick instead of the other healing tools. The tank was on point, though. So at least that was good.

Learn something new every day I guess. People can apparently get triggered from recieving complements. I'm sorry that you had to endure that. I've had quite a few questionable runs of 24 mans myself, but I've yet to have anyone blow up on me like that just for getting a complement. o.O

Just ran Shiva HM.

I had a similar experience yesterdaym which is weird since I've never seen a Shiva wipe before. Except nobody said a thing, someone asked how we died but nobody answered (I wasn't sure myself, though I suspected). Luckily next time all went well, nobody dropped.

I got an horrible experience yesterday trying Byakko normal for the first time.
I didn't wanna go as healer but my RDM isn't geared enough for it yet, and since everybody says how fun that fight is...well it was ugly. Even though I had watched a guide, I still died a bunch of times. There also were other new people (we all arned we were new at the start) so ofc the fight wasn't smooth. First death, the other healer calls me idiot. Ok..At the end of the fight same healer says "You're welcome for the carry" and "never do extreme" after somebody else says "lol I wanna see how you guys do with extreme". Yes, I had trouble staying alive, ressing people, healing almost dying people, but I'd hardly call it a carry, everybody pulled their weight (and I think I healed more than her too). Why all the saltiness? Not only I didn't find it easy as people say, I found it harder than any other HM primal, probably because half of the group or more was new to it..and I find it superhard dodging the balls while you're in the tornado thing. Anyway, it all was ugly enough to put me off ever redoing that fight again.

Conversely, in Hell's Lid, horrible tank, he keeps running forward and getting too many groups while not getting threat on them, so both dpsers and me keep taking a lot of dmg. At some point he leaves the big snake behind on the dps while going so far that he's out of range..so dpses stop to kill it and I to heal them, to which tank dies. At that point the tank starts cursing against the dps, saying like "stop doing dmg while I'm pulling" which would make sense except he can't keep his aggro even after he pulled, in fact in that moment I die, while staying next to him with an add on myself, waiting for him to take it, while absolutely not being high in threat order. He just couldn't bother. In fact the dps told him "it's you who can't keep your aggro" just as I was dying so I said "Just like now"- He went on with more insults culminating in "I hope you die", and I'm sure he didn't mean in game. Good thing there's vote kick.

Ran my Expert and 70 roulettes with my secondary girl yesterday. Both went very well, and I had male Elezen tanks~ I love male elezen~

But I digress. Both Hells lid and Kugane castle went perfectly.

Then today I was working on the same characters crafters, and BOOM. I run past my awesome tank from Kugane Castle. Small world. I had to stop and chat with him, and we did chat, and now we're friends ^^-

I love running into people from roulettes again ♥

In defense of being bad in a random party: Sometimes when I'm spam running leveling roulette for cracked clusters, I'll get so used to being locked out of my awesome level 70 toolkit, that I'll forget that I have certain moves that can make my healer's life easier. I'm sorry rage-quitting healer for that Kugane castle wipe! Blame me if you must, but please know that before I got there, I did two sastasha's and a Halatali beforehand, and I simply forgot that Defiance and steel cyclone exist! Yes, I got you all killed, but, in a way, I'm the real victim here! I was literally conditioned to fail! The system was stacked against me!
