You can’t place items on stages?

I'm just hoping in to draw a little more attention. I did notice this problem while decorating and I've not figured out how to storage glitch anything onto it either. It just goes onto the floor ;;

Unfortunately this is because this, as well as the old lofting glitch was patched out with 4.2, making it, if possible at all, much more difficult to pull off. I know the lofting glitch now has been limited to above windows, which really hurts the overall effect one can pull off successfully...
