Communication is not SE's strong suit. They could avoid a lot of issues if they ever articulated a long term housing vision. Stuff like big apartments/condos with outdoor areas and such. But they don't want to say anything, ever, so it all appears to be last minute knee jerk reactions and nobody has any idea of what to expect.

Judging from the history of XI and XIV, expect major disappointment, and the community lashing out at you for daring to mention your troubles about it.

Yeah seems like 4.1 they let individuals run amok and fuck FC's. So now in 4.2 they let FC's run amok and fuck over Individual players. Makes sense. Maybe in 5.0 we'll have a proper system in place. Doubt it though.

what is the point of waiting? The FC already had their dips what now? The Housing market can't get better since their is no market for them! They said they'd monitor the situation but what is their to monitor? Empty lots? Waiting is just pissing off the players who's dream homes are a purchase away

You're making the assumption that every FC that wanted a house was able to get it that very day. Truth is there are those who might not be able to log on til Saturday to see if they can still get a house. This is why the wait period is at least a week. Offering a week late gives every FC a fair shot at getting a house. If they did a 1 day rush followed by Personal, it would be unfair to the FC that were just incapable of getting time off to get a house on the day of release.

If you have a fc with a min of 4 people and wanted a house there is no reason in 48 hours you wouldn't be able to take 5 mins to log on and get one.

Waiting 7 days is just another failure on SE part to communicate with the community, they could have clearly said. 1 week min before we unlock personal housing, but they haven't. There has been only one dev post in English this past week, it was about ui. Where SE know this is a housing patch for many people, that what a lot of player currently only care about.

And they are going to miss the boat again and get back lash on other media when it goes live and there still isn't housing to meet the demand.

That's if your server was lucky enough not to have already enough FC's not to fill all the already available houses lol. We've had an insurge of 4 people FC's over the past few weeks just for this moment.

I had thought that they had said they were going to see how it went and then deicde from there....
Which would preclude any announcements of when changes would take place, as they hadn't had a chance to observe the effects yet...

It's highly unlikely there is anyone who works so much they can't log in for a few minutes and buy a house within a few days of the patch. If the leader can't do it, at the very least someone in the chain of command can. If you literally don't have the time to secure a house for the FC how do they properly run the guild?

This window is just giving more people time to make and level up small FCs to game the system.

I don't know if they can unlock things on a server by server basis, but they need to open it up for individuals on my server. Not one division in the new Mist wards is even half full. My subdivision only has five owned plots. There were still 36 medium houses left last I checked. I didn't even count the small ones.

Most divisions have the three large houses bought, and then a few random plots.
